    I had mine cranked up to about 2.5" of thread showing. Dropped them down to where the driver's is a little over 2" and the passenger is under 2". Now I've been having some issues with my 285's.

    The key is that you don't really want more than 2" of thread showing. If you read back in this thread the Icon rep explained that it could cause binding on full compression. If you are running non stock UCA's, you can run more, but they don't advise it. I have one a little over 2" and one under to account for lean.

    Just installed one of the COs today. Unfortunatly, rust made it a huge project. I'll install the other one tomorrow. Looks like I'll set them at 2" of thread showing. How much approx lift does that give?

    So other than the coil binding, going over 2" of thread would be bad for the CV joints than (for us 4x4s). My stock drivers coil sagged about an inch.

    I'm running the diff drop and I did really like the look of being taller. However, the handling did get a little skittish on some surfaces with the shocks up there. I would have the front end wash out on a really curvy roadway...I did not like that. Traction control kicked in, and left me going WTF! Happened more than once. I've gone back and accelerated hard on the same roadway and it doesn't happen now.

    Set both coils to 1.75“ of thread showing. If my maths are correct, that's about 2.6“ of lift. Seems to ride smoother than my girls G6 does.

    Sounds right. I think you may find that a measuring tape from the ground to the top of the fender opening will not be the same side-to-side. Taco Lean!

    If there is lean right now, it's not noticeable like it was before. I still have Dakars to put on, which one side is supposed to compensate for that.

    icon install instructions said not to exceed 1.13" thread but that's with the heavier 700lb springs. Think they are a lil taller than standard.

    No more lift. 700lb springs 3" max. Springs are 1" taller but you can't crank down past 1" 600lb springs are shorter but you can crank 2" for 3" of lift is my understanding. Could be wrong.

    Too bad. When I first installed my Icons I had them cranked down and had over 2" showing. Icon rep explained that greater than 2" was too much preload. I liked the slightly taller look.

    Anybody run a spacer with the icons to take care of lean? I put my hi lift on the passenger side just to put more weight on that side.

    I had my lift installed but noticed the passenger front coil over is not cranked as high as the driver side. Is this normal to have one cranked higher then the other. I've measured the distance and it seems to be the same height. Thanks in advance for the input.
