PS4 / Xbox One... Reviews in Progress

So what's the deal , can you not pre-order a digital copy of Project Cars from the Playstation Store ?

 

I don't do digital download. I buy the physical disc in case I don't like the game. I can always trade it in for something else. If you use the digital dl then you are stuck with it. I screwed up and did that with COD Ghost and now I'm stuck with that shitty game. I've got a friend that works at Gamestop so he hooks me up also.

I don't care about the $5 I'll recoup at Gamestop and there is no store local to me that carries PS4 games and Futureshop just went tits up and I hate Best Buy , so back to my question , I searched the Playstation Store and there is no mention of that game , does that mean I have to get a physical copy ? I was under the impression all PS4 games would be available as a digital download .

Depending on the game I usually get anywhere from $20-$30 back on trade in. I've built up enough points that I get 2 games free right now.

I looked on PS store this morning and there was no sign of it. I just pre-ordered it and it will be released next Tues.

SOM not much. Been spending most of my time in Destiny and DriveClub.

 

WTF , BestBuy Canada says the pre-order is sold out for online sales .

 

Just buy it off ebay a day after launch for 5-10 dollars cheaper.

 

Either way I will be enjoying it tomorrow on my PC for $10 cheaper and with better graphics.

 

It would cost me more than $10 to get it here

I like my console

 

I like my PS4 a lot, I have killed 2 thumbsticks (since replaced with xbox one sticks) and 2 sets of right triggers.

I own 3 controllers just so I can rotate them out as they die in like 4-5 hours.

I have the destiny white console and DS4 with 2 spare blue DS4 controllers

I heard a rumor that Sony would be redesigning the internals of the controllers so they dont break or wear out as bad but who knows.. also pretty bummed North america does not get the red DS4, I dont want to import it for $30 over retail.

 

My hard drive is 1/2 full now , I see an upgrade on that front likely

 

I need to upgrade. I prefer digital so I don't have to look around for cases and disks. Plus can just pop from game to game that way.

 

oof.. be careful, its not an easy straight forward process... I had a black PS4 that had a 1tb on day one, sold it for the white Ps4 and swapped HDD... yeah so 3 hours later I had to hardwire ethernet to the Ps4 so it could have the latest firmware to accept the HDD swap then I still had to reformat and then re download all my saved date from the cloud.. good thing I have PS+ that saves info.

Back up everything and prepare to re instal every game and patch afterwards I have like 600gb left out of my 1tb. Damn those spring sales.

There's a pretty simple walkthrough I was reading . You download a start up utility onto a USB stick and it boots from there

I would go 2 TB if I was going to do it

 

That process didn't work for me as it couldn't be read, so I had to the way I described but it all worked out just was frustrating and time consuming.

I dont buy enough digital and only keep 3-4 physical games. if they opened up the ps3 marketplace to ps4 I would be a happy guy.. my ps3 is damn near full with its 1tb.

also I picked up my 1tb for $40 on sale at frys locally as the 2tb were close to $150 at the time.

It was a similar process when destiny came out and finding help was non existent for the issue I was having, all posts were from launch time version firmware and software.

If they fixed then you're fine.

 

How the hell do you wear out controllers so fast???? I'm still on my first one and I play anywhere from 5-10 hours a day and have had my PS4 since launch. I've got no problem with the controller for the PS4. PS3 yes but not the PS4. I also keep mine plugged in almost all the time so I DON'T have to worry about them dying.

The only games I use my PC for are MMO's.

 

Diablo 3 and infamous second son. wrecked my controllers.
