Truck looks great! I may have to remove the dip from my caps and have a shop do something similar to yours. I'm assuming your friend did the rings as well?

My friend does outstanding custom work . I was born and raised here . What part of town do they live in ?

I will get a few more shots of the hood

I'm going to keep the OEM hood in case I sell the truck . I know the cowl hood isn't for everyone .

Another buddy of mine powder coated the rings at his house where he runs his side business .

    nothing cool
Does anyone have info on a paint that matches the wheel exactly/or really close? Obviously a paint shop would be best but has anyone used rattlecan that matches good? I can't tell if our wheels are Satin or Matte black. Thinking about doing my center caps like above.

Just drove by the local dealer, they had a TRD Pro tundra, Tacoma, and 4Runner all parked together out front, all in Inferno red.
Pretty crazy that the sticker for the Tacoma was $47,000 after dealer add ons!
Also noticed the 4Runner was sporting the TRD FJ SEMA rims.
Glad I scored a set of those rims before they stopped selling them.

Ah...not too sure. It's been a little over 20yrs since I've been there. Unlike me....they all have money so I know it's in a nice area. I also have family just over the border in Juarez......there I can assure you I won't be visiting anytime soon.

I don't blame you on the Juarez comment . I don't even drive along the border highway in fear of stray cartel bullets

I saw you posted about missing out on Baja Suspension sale here on TW last week... I hate to break it to you, but I was the one who purchased it! I couldn't pass on the price, and seller had a little bit of wiggle room... funny thing is, I also received the same day you did.

I researched and read page after page on the "Because Baja" thread and "ThatguyKc's thread" and decided the TRD Pro/Baja suspension was exactly what I wanted and met my needs... my truck hardly sees dirt. lol

I will hopefully be able to get it installed next week to post pics. Please post pics of yours when possible. I haven't got to make a Build Thread, but with all my latest mods, I am definitely due for one!

Congrats! Are you doing the install or farming it out? I may tackle mine, with help. Still stock piling parts for now. So far I have the TX suspension and Wheelers HD 5 leaf pack, and Timbren rear bump stops. Then I'll order the Camburg upper control arms and possibly new strut mount hardware so I'll be ready to swap them out with the new HD parts.

I'm removing and selling the front 2" Readylift level kit, Firestone air bags, Airlift air compressor, and Readylift 1" rear blocks since I tow heavy loads with my Tundra now.

Not cheap, but it should turn out nice. I already have the Baja wheels and new Michelin LTX A/T 2 tires installed and the TRD shift knob. Removed the emblems and TRD Off-road bedside decals. Added a sport hood. It's coming along.

    You can add an AAL

Or consider a custom Deaver pack?

I ordered the 5 leaf set from Wheelers. I called them and they told me 1.5 to 1.75 lift. It will be a few weeks before the install.

The hope is to maintain factory rake by adding Baja suspension with 1.75 up front and approximately the same lift on the rear, so it's not nose high, without having to go with longer rear shocks. It looks good on paper. Lol.

I added an icon progressive AAL. I wanted the exact same look you are trying to get and was able achieve it with this set up. I came out perfect and it rides great. On my last Tacoma, I put a Dakar leaf pack 2.75. If you were to remove the bottom leaf from that I believe it would bring you down an inch.
