Gen I Tundra drives like a Tacoma? Please. I've figured you don't know what you're talking about and you confirmed it.

Nice rant. I discussed the Baja/Pro suspension plenty above, gave you the parts in the kit as you requested. You're welcome, but you neglected to say thank you.

Let's recap - Baja/Pro suspension IMO is a nice setup that I drove for 15,000 miles. The first 15,000 miles on my 2012 Taco was on the stock SR5 suspension.

Unlike many people having an opinion about the Baja/Pro suspension I drove it 15,000 miles through twelve US states from Washington, D.C. to Nevada. Hard offroad driving in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, rocky roads, desert roads, mud, snow, ice. Pulled a 3700 lb trailer with the Baja suspension on desert roads, over washboards, over rocks, through desert washes. I put it through the paces in just about every scenario, so I know about it unlike 99% of those that profess to know about it.

As for the '05 Tundra, I'm not gonna apologize for expressing my opinion. I've put the Tundra through the same paces as the 2012 Tacoma. The stock '05 Tundra outclasses the stock 2012 Tacoma in every category.

Why do you continually reply if you don't care? Also, I didn't insult you. Also, Confucius himself said, "If I can show a man one corner of a square and he can complete the square he is a righteous man."

I completed the square by being smart enough to buy an '05 Tundra. You, well, you're still on the second corner. ;)

"When among people, if anyone is impolite or insulting to you, as long as it is not a dishonor you should put up with it, pretending you didn't hear it"

You should read your own words, Ding, instead of preaching what you don't practice.

Jesus Christ, this thread is still going?

It sounds like a Tundra and a baja suspension fapfest.

Haha. Glad I started this whole mess of a debate. Case anyone cares. Went with 5100's and left stock alone. Looks just as good and beyond happy with it but.

Carry on with the who knows what conversation haha

Congratulations, if I had gone with 5100's I certainly wouldn't have been in this conversation. But it's been fun. I took a chance on the aftermarket Baja kit, and dang I saw a Confucian chime in. You don't see that every day. Nice.

So I'm super new to my Tacoma and I was thinking about buying the trd pro suspension because I wanted a lift and I like the idea of it being TRD being built for Toyota and installed by the dealer. After going to the dealer I was told Toyota will not sell me the kit, and they won't install it plus it was super $$$$$. They did offer to do the revtec lift I got a price and looked it up on here. Nothing but shitty thoughts and awful ride that idea is now also out. So my question is what is the ideal set up
I the 5100 or the 6112? And what are you guys doing for the rear?

That's strange they wouldn't sell it to you. If you still want the pro suspension head on over to the TRD site find the pro kit and search for a dealer with you. Maybe the person you talked to was just an idiot.

just go with the 6112's they are going to be cheaper and better than the pro setup. If your on more of a budget go 5100's (i love mine) and if budget isnt a concern, get something good from Fox / king etc

I'm pretty much over the pro set up for 1800 bucks I could be getting into an icon stage 2... There are so many options toytec icon, fox, boss. I'm soo overwheled. with the 6112 I can't find it as a kit ie front and rear. Do you just buy the rears separately? What set up are most of you running? A full kit would be nice tho. I have a budget of about what the pro set up cost 1800ish.

You can buy it. Not saying I would. But if you wanted a "factory off road" suspension its available.

Yes you could do a different set up a lot cheaper but its not factory.
Just my opinion I think doing the pro set up is kind of a waste unless you had bought the pro. You could do a lot more with 1,800 dollars. Again that is just my 2 cents...

Also check craigslist there was a guy local to me who bought a pro and changed the suspension right after getting it and wanted like 700 for the new Pro suspension

Wait a minute...MF said everyone who had a Pro suspension loved it because they drove it...I think someone stole it off a Pro truck and put it on CL...the owner couldn't have sold it if they drove it.

How're you liking the 5100 setup, and what did you end up setting them at?

    MF????

I test drove a pro and liked how it drove. To me it seemed pointless to buy a pro then change the suspension...
