I was thinking to upgrade the suspension to TRD Pro one. Anyone knows the part number for shocks and springs? Which Bilstein are exactly?

    Thanks!

    Part number is PTR13-35150
Fronts use Bilstein compares closest with the new 6112. TRD fronts only have 2 clip settings vs. 6112 has 5 clip settings.
    Rears compares with 5160 shock.
    Hope this helps.

    Thank you guys!

How is the ride comparing with 4600 ones? How about comparing with Icons, Fox, Kings?

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading to the Pro struts as well. Is there no difference between the front left and right springs?

Are the 6112s and 5160s cheaper than the shocks in the baja kit? Did TRD change anything in the Baja bilsteins that are different from regular 6112/5160s? Whats the spring rate difference between a stock TRD OR and these Baja coils? Is there a cheaper alternative in that color?

Yes 6112s/5160s are cheaper. Yes they are valved differently, the Baja is tuned for the Tacoma by TRD and the others are generic. Stock TRD OR is 550lbs, usually 600lbs are sold with the 6112, Baja uses 650lbs. TRD pro uses 600lbs.

See the Baja link in my sig for lots more info.

I did. You just need to order online. http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-10412

However after I was charged I was notified there was a stop ship on all kits (months ago) due to an unspecified outstanding issue that they were to have cleared up soon. I had already ordered the Baja so I just cancelled the Pro.

4600's are basically the stock TRD Sport or TRD OR shocks.

The 6112's and TRD Pro shocks are not rebuildable without sending them away. Fox and King you can have rebuilt locally. You can have Icons rebuilt too, but Icon doesn't publish all of their specifications which means some places won't handle them. I know in Alberta there are only 1-2 places that will rebuild an Icon shock, but over a dozen that will rebuild just about anything else like a Fox, King, ADS, or Radflo shock.

It's also easier to adjust a Fox, King, ADS, or Radflo shock because they can be adjusted with the proper wrench without taking the shock off the truck again.

The top hat on a Fox, King, ADS, or Radflo etc is also better than the setup on a billistein shock.

Basically, if you are looking at 2.5" shocks anyways, save your money and go to a true coilover.

Totally. But was going to be a fun experiment. Fortunately Toyota saved me from the bad judgement with a stop ship.

The Pro really only has one setting. There are two notches; passenger side is set to the lower notch while the driver side is set to the higher notch. This is to account for the "Taco lean."
