    Ok guys, quick question. I am (with help from a very good welding friend) building some very basic bumpers tomorrow. We are welding in stinger tubes into both front a rear bumpers so I can move my winch. Should I build the bumpers out of 2x4 or 2x6? The ends will taper down in size so I can wrap the ends around the corners and run to the fender wheel well edges. What's your thoughts. I need to pick up the metal today as we start first thing in the morning. Thank you!!!

    I'm sure you'll find some use for it.

    If anything wire it into the tent.

    I used 3x6 for the rear I built mike.

    3x5 is more common.

    Wouldn't use that at all for the front.
