2015 T.A.Co. Rock Therapy trail thread

WOOP!

 

Thinking about staying at BFE instead of in town at a campground with a shower and a flush toilet. Other than cheaper I can't for the life of me figure out why I'd do that.

 

I just wanna do elephant hill and Kane Creek... So many trails so little time it's hard to decide which ones for sure. I'll have to look at the schedules there.

 

we'll have a table setup for trail signups for those looking to join a group for the day's activities...

there will be groups that already have their trucks sorted out, but for those who are looking for a group to run with, we'll do our best to have trail groups listed at the table for easy joining and creating...

we'll have a few trail books that people could borrow if they need and we'll have print outs of most of the trails at the table for people to sort through...

 

I will have done both those three times by the time you get there.

 

It's best to be there for a whole week and have plenty of time

 

I went and pre ran some more trails for you guys....Here's the info if it helps any one plan

Moab Rim-excellent condition and an epic trail, the two tubs up top have 20" water in them


Golden Spike-excellent condition, great trail, last two obstacles partially filled in with rocks


Flat Iron Mesa- excellent trail doesn't get much mention, easter egg hill is filled in though with rocks

For anyone interested KK is dry and the last obstacle is barely an obstacle bc it's filled in with dirt and rocks. That trail should be renamed to 7 miles of willow scratching followed by 5 miles of hoping for something challenging. Not very scenic either, just saying for the people that drive so far and have any kind of paint job they care about.

Nice TBuzz. I agree with your assessment on all of the above trails, that is a great sampling of trails there.

I did it Open/Open in my DCLB with some excellent spotting from @Box Rocket

bummer about kane creek...

the la sals still have a good amount of snow on them, so hopefully the snow melt will help to fill some of the creeks by then

Seven mile rim looks interesting. Don't think we could do Elephant hill though since we'll have the pup along with us.
