That blows....... I can't one-up that... We typically work 50 hour weeks so 10 hours of overtime. But when we take vacation were only paid for 40...

My brother in law knew her. She used to come into a store where he worked.

 

Picked up this bug deflector for next to nothing from a buddy to cover up some chips on the front of the hood and I'm not sure I like it now. I keep thinking the scoop makes it look like a mustache haha. Thoughts?

Morning guys. Whata all doing this weekend?

 

First mow of the year - gonna suck. Grass came in quite thick and this one will require bagging. Then wash/wax the truck before the pollen really comes out.

 

We always work at least 50 hours a week, usually closer to 60 but no OT. Gotta love salary!

Just my opinion but not a fan of bug deflectors on the Tacoma.

I have 3 yards of topsoil coming tomorrow so spreading that and seeding the new areas, first mow of the season for the rest of the yard and dragging the camper out to start repairs and prep for the first outing. I have some family stuff also, should be a cluster F of a weekend.

Puttering around the house, garden work, dump run, possibly burning some scrub, and maybe working on the '69 on Saturday, and then Sunday is Mother's Day, so at least half of the day will be a wash while I go visit.

You should mow 1st

 

I'm planning on it. Not much to mow, a lot of the yard is getting redone

 

It is a negotiated thru the international and no one has pushed the issue. I was hoping the new law that passed would include us but still haven't heard.

 

I would take that

 

I get some holidays off with pay and others off with no pay also. We don't have any seniority either. I have seen guys with 40 plus years in the business, some with the same company, get laid off instead of a new tech, cause the bosses don't have any field experience anymore so they don't know what they don't know.

 

My first mow of the year I always go low and mulch. I always bag after that. I over seeded the other day after work and will fertilize in about a week.

 

I never bag or rake, just mow it and let it rot back. I use a reel mower and mow regularly, so the clippings are small enough that they're not really noticeable. Plus the birds eat them, but in the spring they can't keep up.

 

Did they remove the new TW questions threads?

 

I do the same..... But I think this year it's finally time to dethatch....
