starting problem intermittent clutch cancel will fix most of the time

01 4x4 tacoma.
not the starter
not the battery
not the power wire from battery to starter

truck will turn over without any problem if i hit the clutch cancel button 99% of the time. if i drive the truck hard it will do it more often. problem is intermittent.

Did you ever figure this out? I've got a 98 tacoma doing something similar. Mine will not start at all, but it sounds like I get a little louder click in the dash when the clutch cancel is engaged. I cannot get mine to turn over. I believe the battery is solid, and the starter is fine. Problem is intermittent.

 

Nope I even replaced the button under the clutch petal and replaced the starter relay did not change anything. I think it my be faulty wire connection
