Not a big fan of Badass of the Week but its a cool story. And at the end are grownup links to the storys sourcess.

"It was around this time that he heard the 236-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 engine of a stock Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro pickup truck hauling fucking ass towards him. At the wheel, in true badass fashion, was Sergeant First Class Andrew Busic of the 1st Special Forces Group, barreling ahead while two other Green Berets fired their rifles out the windows like something out of a goddamned Mad Max commercial."
    http://badassoftheweek.com/index.cgi?id=364288832201

And here is the letter Staff Sargent Plumlee wrote to Toyota thanking them.

That is badass!!!! So proud of our men AND our trucks. Although... I have to say, that's not a TRD pro.

Most of the time if you see a 2nd Gen in Iraq/Afghanistan it is assigned to a SOF unit. The Hi-Lux is the most used.

Making a joke about a Tacoma does not equal disrespect for the military

Not sure how you get that but good for you
