    Hello everyone,

I am new here and wanted to say hello and comment on how cool this site looks and how much info there seems to be in my brief initial wandering.

I am sad to say that I am not a Tacoma owner...yet.

I just ordered my first Tacoma a few weeks ago (2015). The options I wanted were not to be found anywhere so it is being built at the factory and I should have it by mid April. The options are nothing special (double cab, 4x2, 4 cyl) SR5 option. It was in my budget and will fit my family. :)

I am going to use this for driving to work and basic outdoor stuff.

I am very excited and already have some possible plans. I think I will get the windows tinted, find a second set of rims and tires (need to find out how wide I can go on the 2015), and might do a body lift depending on how everything looks.

I am happy this forum is here and hope to be part of the Tacoma community.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Nope, gen 3 will be the 2016+ trucks, the gen 2 is from 2005-2015 and the gen 1 was from 1995.5-2004. Good luck with it and welcome to the forum!

Welcome and congratulations on the new truck.
I've always wanted to order the vehicle I wanted.
Too much of an instant gratification guy.
Sound like you are sensible, and responsible in in your decision, ordering what you need.
I have a V6/4X4, but we have a couple of 5 luggers at work, and find them enjoyable to drive.
The 4 cylinder is very responsive, even with the automatic.
My original plan was to get a regular cab 4X4, announcement of end of manufacture, created a shortage, and false pricing in my area.
Good luck on the wait, the final delivery, and enjoyment of the truck.
The wait is the hard part.
