    there a part ontop of the door where i want to reclear cause it faded and thin any step or how too thanks im using the bodyline to spray at

    right below the window moulding in the oic where there a lip i gotta fix it any help thanks what grit

    I'm assuming you're speaking of the paint on the door, not the moulding, correct?

    If the truck looks as good in person as in the photo, I'd take it to a body shop. Unfortunately the correct answer will be either a repaint of the door, which will likely require blending into surrounding panels, or at best a repaint of the upper part of the door. This may work better if you were willing to add a 'break line', like a pinstripe, so there is a hiding place for resulting thickness in paint differences.

    If all you care about is something good enough for a 10' away view, well, that's doable. Problem is most off the shelf rattle can clear is not durable enough for that location.

    Not trying to be discouraging, just wanting to understand what you are considering.

    I agree, take it to a body shop. An "at home" clear coat will probably look worse than leaving it alone.

    yeah the rest of the truck got repainted cause careless drivers one was a drunk and the other was late for work sucks ass

    Was that door part of the repaint? If so, maybe the body shop could warranty it.
    If not, they could quote you a price.
