Based on the specs and YouTube clips it looks good. I just ordered it last night.

 

I finally figured out my Pop,Clunk,Bang,Knock in the front end. The LCA is "breaking loose" from the LCA bushing.. I think the LCA was bent narrower when I removed or installed the LCA bushings..

I just replaced the driver side CV boot. I put a silicone Dorman on the other side and it's holding up well so went with the same.

My truck must know that I am bored with work.. The passenger inner CV boot is torn...ugh..

 

I gotta do mine this weekend. How big a pain in the ads was it? I have new boots sitting at the house.

 

The hardest part is getting the axle out and getting the "star" off.

 

It doesn't look like my Control arm is bent. I took it off the truck and pushed the bushing out by hand.. I took measurements of the bushing and it matches what Kevin found here (Moog Forward smaller bushing). I think maybe I enlarged the hole in the control arm somehow, but I am waiting on good numbers to compare to.

Outside edge - 1.886"
Inside edge - 1.890"

I looked through my old parts and found one of the correct bushings that I had not destroyed when i removed it. I cleaned it up, got some measurements, greased it up and put it in. I don't like using the old part but...
The old factory bushing fits in about half way by hand and then is very tight going the rest of the way in. The moog bushing I can push in 7/8 of the way in by hand and then a swift pop knocks it all the way in..

 

Sooo....I may have forgotten to take the measurements going to dinner with the wife, hit me up on FB if you still need them

 

No worries. Enjoy. I can ride on this for now. Eventually I'll just replace both fronts with factory again. The knock, bang, clunk seems to be gone.

 

Ok, so start the clock, I've got 2 new Dorman 614-004 silicone CV boots installed. Passenger took about an hour by myself.

Getting an alignment. I hate it when other people get there hands on my vehicles...

 

I'm about to start doing alignments in my garage. Still debating that idea though.

 

I'd drive up there depending what you'd charge.

Didn't mean as a side job. Need to learn the ins and outs myself. But I'm the same way, pretty much the only thing I can't do my self.

 

Haha I figured, but you could make some money from guys like me. Are you trying to do it with tape measures or buy a machine?

I want mine done on a machine, I like lazers! If I had a friend at a shop that I could use the machine that'd be great!

 

Turn tables and toe plates with tape measure.
