2015 Blue Tacoma TRD

I just tried to install a new K&N Intake Kit on my 2015 Tacoma and was blown away when it wouldn't run. I got everything put in and when I went to start the truck it would only run for a couple of seconds then shut itself down. When I gave it gas, it ran choppy and still stopped running after 10 seconds. I took everything off and put original equipment back in it started like a champ. Everything was done correctly but I'm trying to figure out what the problem is because it makes no sense and I could only find one other reference to this happening.

I don't know if the truck isn't ready for the upgrade but I know the wiring was right and that the mos was clean so I can only put the blame on the computer.
