I know I'll be fine, it'll just be a slow grind. I'm hoping people are going to the Cape so heading west will be ok.

 

Honestly, the traffic's probably going to be worse in MY area this weekend, from all of the Massholes running North

 

Cape bound and down.... Hoping to get the boat out at some point.... I haven't been to the cape house yet this year, my kids dek hockey schedule is cramping my weekends...

 

This guy will be there for a bachelor party

 

I followed an awful lot of NY and NJ cars up over the canal yesterday. Looked like there weren't many MA cars on 495 - hell, most weren't even from New England. Got my first batch of fried oysters this year from the Red Nun. I think I'll be hitting Brax sometime this weekend too - of course, in between spending time with Mom.

Just got back from taking my dig to the vet. Saw a ton of N.Y./nj/ct plates on 495. Southbound was stop and go staring at about route 9. I don't envy anyone heading to the cape right now...

 

I had to go pick up a bike in nh today. Left early to avoid traffic, but it was still ridiculously backed up on 495. That's a long trip

 

Heading north to go camping tomorrow morning .

 

Dumb question here.

Put my Icon 3 leaf AAL onto my spare TSB 4 leaf springs today. When I had one spring done, I had placed it next to the original spring and noticed they were the same height. The AAL spring doesn't have the overload anymore as the Icon instructions says to remove it. That says to me I will ultimately have the same ride height as the TSB springs or am I missing something. When the weight of the truck on the leafs, is that where I will see the height increase since these leafs will compress less with the AAL? I've seen plenty of pictures of trucks with the AAL and no overload and they are definitely taller. I have to be overthinking, huh?

Was excited to have an excuse to buy an angle grinder though. Now I just need to prime and paint the leafs to deal with the surface rust and coat it in Fluid Film and get it on the truck.

 

Already got most of my weekend work done, finally installed my Camburg UCAs! Yeah on getting some caster back!

 

Mike, you should be fine. The difference will be when you put the truck on the ground the AAL's will help support weight and not the the factory springs flatten out as much. That's what will give you the lift.

Nick. Are those the new Camburgs with the Moog ball joints?
