    Newbie here with question.

I have a new to me 2012 Tacoma TRD 4x4 double cab short bed. looking to put on 265/70/17's or maybe 275's. Looking into toytec lift with Billy 5100 front and back. So I'm trying to go for a smooth plush ride as most of my time is on road. The stock ride kind of sucks IMO. Any feed back would be great.

If you're going for plush then your looking more for a mid travel type suspension, also getting a full 3in with billies shouldn't make it handle bad on the road or anything but apparently speed bumps and such is really harsh as they are preloaded or something... someone who knows their stuff will come along soon and give some more in detailed info lol

Opinions vary greatly. I would suggest searching through all the other threads (MANY to choose from) and make a more informed decision. In my opinion a toytec lift with with a progressive rear add-a-leaf should make for an excellent ride at minimum cost.

I going to go with a coilover as I have had the spacers before and the ride was awful. I see a lot of people going with OME. or Bilstein 6112's One better than the other as far as plushness?

    Thanks for your feedback all!

Bilsteins ride same as stock. I've had toytec coilovers with bilsteins shock all around. For me the ride improvement was very minimal. Go with a 2.5 shock front and 2.0 in the back.
