New Tacoma owner 2015 MGM DCSB

just recently picked up this tacoma after having issues with my 2007 frontier, so far its a big improvement..


don't really off road much but would like to take it on trails, so far just installed the trd air filter and rubber mats.

also ordered a set of volk te37s 16x8 0 offset in bronze

going to level out the truck with the new bilstein 6112 shocks in the front once the wheels come in

my other projects lol

 

Welcome to TW! Nice cars, I wanted to get the volks for my mgm and always wondered what they would look like! May I ask how much they cost?

 

the total ended up around 2400$, pricey but i had no luck trying to find a used set

yah I'm curious to see how the bronze looks on mgm.

thanks guys. yah I've always been a fan of volk racing wheels, the quality is amazing and super lightweight as well hopefully they don't look too bad mounted with the original rugged trail tires

only had the truck for 2 weeks and I'm already modding it haha

i was told about 3 months, mackin industries doesn't stock any te37x wheels all special order and was told the old design with the stickers on the spokes are going to be discontinued soon and replaced with the engraved version.

my is300 was at year six, but hatch has been non op for a couple years now, going through it and rebuilding the car again,

step bars came in today





while installing them, found the right rear shock is already leaking, truck is only 2 weeks old

 

recently ordered the trd front skid plate



found a good deal on the stock trd pro suspension from someone on craigslist, low mileage at first i wanted the bilstein 6112 but for around the same price i found these and it came with the rear reservoir shocks with the trd reservoir brackets.

 

Nice score on the Pro suspension!

 

yah got lucky finding them, now just have to order some camburg balljoint uca's and ill install them

curious to see how much of a lift I'm going to get on my truck since its not 4x4.

 

installed the trd suspension and it lifted it more than i expected but I'm not complaining lol

probably going to add a 1 inch block lift in the rear to take out the lean.

once i get my new wheels i will probably get new tires 265/75/16 bfg ko2

 

wheels came in finally came in from volk, going to pick them up tomorrow.
