So about a month and a half ago I bought my first Tacoma! Lovin it. Unfortunately buying it ate up all my money so for now I'm doing the cheapest modifications I can find for it. I just love being around it. So I figure I should make a build page so I can watch my progress over the next however many years she lasts..

Here's pics when I was stalking it before I even talked to the guy about buying it:

So I'll just try to keep posting stuff that I do to it. If anyone stumbles across this and has a question feel free to ask. Other than that this is mainly for myself someday I will look back on this post and reminisce.

So Immediately I took the amp out of my car, installed that into the truck (except I couldn't figure out how to route the wire through the engine bay, so I payed a stereo shop $10 to do it for me). Threw in my deck, and took the big-a** woofers out of the broken down 4Runner sitting in my yard and now I have no space in the backseats . Oh ya, took the deck out of my runner too..

But boy does it sound nice! 800W RMS of pure bass, i'll be lucky to have any hearing left by the time I'm 30!

So since I bought the truck and put subs in I haven't done much besides basic painting, and I replaced my headlights. Blacked out my taillights, and my side markers. Blacked my grill with bed-liner, and my front bumper with plasti-dip. Well see how that holds up and probably have to paint it for good later on down the road.

The Sylvania Silverstars are great, just a wonderful light at night. I'm probably gonna try out the ultras next time and see if it's worth the extra $$.

Thank you guys I appreciate the complements. I waited a long time before this truck literally found me ha. Saw the guy drive it and park across the street one day and it was mine the next morning :)
Now it's all about making it my truck!

So today I finished my painting!!! (Except I'll do my exhaust tip at some point) I painted all the trim, and my rear bumper. I am now chrome free, for the most part. here are some pictures of what I did, I'm very happy with the turnout. For me chrome just doesn't do this color justice..

Oh ya and I took my badges off.

Oh almost forgot I did the deck plate mod yesterday. Not sure how it works yet, I'll test it out on my scan gauge and edit this in a few weeks. Very easy mod took me maybe an hour cause I had to file the plastic since only had a 4" hole bit.. Maybe I'll get a pic tomorrow too

Got my afe filter in the mail today (got the last one in stock!) seems like my air filter hadn't been replaced for a long time, and the difference was huge. I got 27 mpg on the way to my fiancées house vs 24 that I was getting. And my car didn't start shaking when I slowed down in 5th gear. Anyway, gonna open up my deck plate on the way home today and see what I think of it. So many mixed reviews out there it's hard to say which is right.

Edit: deck plate mod sucks.. Closed it up and got 30mpgs to my fiancés house whoop!
