So the wife wants to trade in her Explorer for a 2013 FJ base model 4x4. No diff lock or all the other goodies (which I want). Anyways we found one for 33.5K with 21000 miles on it, is this a good price? I will be installing a 3 inch lift with some AT tires. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

The prices on FJ's has gone up since they stopped production, so that's not a bad price. I saw a 2013 it 15,000 miles going for $40K. BTW, I'd get the locker and ATRAC too.

I had no idea that the prices had gone up that much. Don't worry about the locker......it comes standard on 4x4s (I'm pretty certain). You just need to buy a simple switch and plug it in and bam! you got locker! Don't let the dealers scare you with that one.

Most base FJ comes with rear lockers, I've seen a few that didn't. If you have a rear locker and no switch for ATRAC, then you can plug in the OME ATRAC switch and you have ATRAC for $50. A friend of mine did they on his, he's said it took a five minutes and worked like a charm. The rear locker is takes a lot more $$ to add.

Prices have gone up since production stopped.Probably be difficult to negotiate lower price but i'd try to get it down cause the added features you want but aren't available on that model you're looking into is going to cost more especially for the rear locker.

2012 20k miles UPGRADE EDITION with all the goodies. ATRAC/DIFF LOCK/BACK UP CAMERA saves your ass everytime!
spacer lift up front and 34s on it and some nice halo aftermarket lights cant say i dont love everysecond of it
plus if you get the one with the sub you prob wont need to spend any money on sound.

either go all out or get the cheapest one you can find: BASE manual 4x4

I just found out a while ago that FJs are offered in 2WD. I never would have guessed that.

I've been trying to find 2013 cement grey Trail Teams and they're all in the $36K range regardless of miles.
