Kitchen looks great. Slow on the back ,If you over do anything now it will be >> hospital time .
The first MEMORIAL DAY Vid is here.

Some of the most incredible footage..around 4 minutes long.

Camera Footage of about the best naval footage ever shot by a Navy cameraman. Amazing! The camera was in the gun turret under attack.
The USS Laffey, "the ship that would not die," was hit by
6 Kamikazes and 4 bombs, but remained afloat after an 80 minute battle that included 22 Kamikaze attacks.

Facebook would not let me post the link.

The 80% of congress that have not served in one of the armed forces should be forced to watch this. Actual WWII footage is always amazing. Our fathers and mothers, that served in WWII, did so much for the world and asked for so little in return.

    Good one!

Knew that would get your attention Sue. I'm sure you did your best.
When guys fix rivets on boat hulls, a lot of them put a small amount of 3M sealant on them for a little added insurance.

Which one of you upset Susan?!? :angrygirl:  Bad move!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. I worked too hard putting our yard back together after finally getting our septic system woes fixed.

Talked to my boss again today. He is still supporting my move for part time. Now it's in the hands of a VP who needs to okay some $$ so they can bring another person on fulltime for me to train. My part time salary will give them some of the $$ but I guess they need a few more. :notsure: He thinks it should all be in the bag by the beginning of July.

We still need to hash out the details of what constitutes "part time". Technically it is anything over 20 hours/wk but it sounds like HR is pushing for 24 hours/wk. They also want to keep me in the on call rotation, which I do NOT want. It means staying within 1 hour of home and/or carrying my stuff wherever I go and verifying a high speed internet connection will be waiting for me at the other end. Plus carrying their !@#@#$^ phone around with me at all times. It used to be cool but then I used to be younger. They'll have to trade hours on the job for hours on call, and it will have to be a pretty sweet trade from my point of view.

Sounds like you have retirement figured out. Being on call sucks especially when on vacation with the family. I used to get up at 6am to do email for the day then the Blackberry thing happened. Seems like I was fielding calls and doing email all vacation long. I even changed my out of office vacation message every day so the same knuckleheads would get the message every day and not just one time for the duration of the vacation. I do not really miss work.

I may have to go back to a part time job in two years for extra cash but I will look to Home Depot for a job. I believe I have a lot to offer as I am pretty handy and live is a Levitt home here in Bowie of which there were over 4500 constructed. A lot of the employees in our Home Depot do not really know how to fix anything in a home. So sad. Our local HD is getting more and more into serving the residential customer.
