I'll probably won't be buying anything much until next year. Trying to save a little because we're taking my kids to Disneyland at the end of the year. I will be getting a prinsu rack soon though.

Sub'd! Awesome build! I've been wasting (probably too much time) :spy: several builds lately. I'm on deployment and just getting some ideas/dreaming about some overdue upgrades for when i get back. I am currently sitting about where you started: LR UCAs, 5100s, Icon AALs, Avid Bolt-on Sliders, and a few cosmetic "upgrades". I think first thing will be to add a little more armor (plate bumpers front and rear), and then maybe some upgrades to the suspension.

Some of these other builds I've been perusing (CKeene9, Loco, etc) are flat out amazing, but probably unrealistic for my budget and what I actually plan on doing with the truck. 75% (probably more) of my time will be spent commuting and running errands. I like to go exploring/camping/playing when I can, but it's not the trucks main purpose in life. I don't know how far you plan on taking your build (that rabbit whole can get deep quickly!), but what you have done so far is very well done, clean, and practical. I love that you have done (or at least seems that way) most of the modding yourself. I'm not expert, but have some capabilities, and am learning as I go.

I also like to see other member who have their priorities straight!

Alright. I'll get off my soapbox now. Good looking truck!

Thanks man! Every mod on my truck was done with pretty much basic tools in my garage. My wife did help me a little when I needed an extra hand though. Did you have certain company in mind for your armor? Everything I got from Pelfreybilt has been very well built and they are awesome to do business with.

Yea. I've definitely been looking at Pelfreybilt too. Looked at All Pro as well. I would really like to go with an aluminum front, and I don't need a high clearance for the rear, but I like the side plate/quarter panel protection that All Pro has for their rear bumper. Those lines on the Pelfreybilt are SO clean. I really like that! Do they offer a DIY kit? I've got some connections for welding assistance. If it saved me a couple hundred, I wouldn't mind getting the DIY kit.

I don't think Pelfrey offers a DIY kit. Their aluminum bumpers are nice and light. I'd imagine that they are way easier to install because of their weight. My steel bumper was heavy and I had to use my neighbor's engine hoist to install it. I like the design of the Demello bumpers too. Allpro has that cool dual swingout bumper now too.

I have access to an engine hoist and 'A' frame to handle the weight of the steel bumper, but I'd like to keep my OME 885s for a while yet. Maybe upgrade when I save enough to get a winch down the line. I've looked at Demello too. And I actually entered to win that new dual swingout from All Pro. Don't know if I'd buy one, but if I could WIN one... I like the form, function, and look of the swingouts, but don't know if it's completely necessary for me. Plus, that extra length will most definitely keep my DCLB from being able to utilize the garage. That's probably not a big deal in HI, but I'll be in Nebraska next year, and those winters are gonna be harsh!

Maybe if you had the supercharger you would have made it up the hill the first try.

Gears, locker, and tires are on my neverending wish list.;) Only problem is that they cost so damn much.
