Very nice, what kind of padding did you use in the bed?

I have the OEM bet mat and on top of that (using the bed mat as a template) I cut/have a piece of soft indoor/outdoor carpet. My sleeping pad is a Copper River (Cabelas). It's very nice and without the pillow part inflated, it fits perfectly in the bed. I've been thinking of buying a memory foam mattress topper and cutting it to fit the bed too. I would put it under the carpet.

He turned 3 in March, I'm ready to get him back out again. The RTT makes camping super comfy, it's no RV, but it'll go anywhere the truck will.

    Thanks!

    Nice!
Yeah, I just got a shell put on mine for that purpose too. Like the idea of packing up and going when we want. Looking forward to getting in out.

What's the deal with traveling with firewood? I'm bout to head from NJ to Vt. for a four day trip. I wanna bring firewood to make sure I have plenty, but I've heard it's not good to do so and you could get in trouble because of transferring bugs or critter to a different place. I mean I don't want the entire Eco system to fail from transporting split logs but just seems a little taboo. Anyone know of related info? Thanx.

Maybe check a state forestry site?
I know there are signs all over the place in the s.f.s here in mass.

    From the mass.gov:
    Firewood
    [IMG]
Help us protect your forests and parks by not transporting firewood.

    Please remember:

    • Massachusetts State Parks prohibits the transportation of firewood in to or out of its campground facilities.
    • Arriving customers must get their firewood at the campground.
    • Pest-free and disease-free firewood is available at the contact station for $5 per bundle. Pricing may vary at parks with camp stores.
MassParks are at risk of severe damage from invasive species such as the Asian Longhorned Beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer. Invasive species have devastated forests in the US Midwest, and have recently been found in the Worcester, Boston, and Dalton Massachusetts areas. Once a forest is infested, eradication of an invasive pest involves devastating measures such as the removal of entire stands of trees or forested areas.

No plans! I decieded to go to Vermont for my Bday after my gf and I missed camping passes to a music festival. We already had the 4 day weekend off work so I decided to do a little overland trip. I finally got my camp setup where I want it and I'm ready to explore! Picked up a Vt. State map to lead the way. Would like to camp over night in a different spot each night. I been to Vt. a lot in the winters but never in the summer. Should be fun!

In-Ko-Pah Mountains and Desert View Tower. The last two days of May, two thousand fifteen. Our family of four, visited the caves and tower, and then retreated on a lovely rough 4x4 road into the mountains for family solitude and nature enjoyment. One night camp.

What was special about this adventure was that it was unplanned. I made the decision to do the trip late Friday night. Did not pack anything until Saturday morning. We were ready to go in (2) hours. Awesome trip. We returned home Sunday and I had the truck unpacked and stuff put away ten minutes before noon. It was excellent.
