    Haven't started yet lol really not bringing a whole lot right away. Just clothes and some necessities. The rest is some furniture/tv and stuff but I'll come back to get that shit in a few weeks probably.

    Hey guys! Returning to my home range this summer. Would be down for some wheeling - though my rig is still stock on the outside lol. I need some fresh mountain views! Looks like you're all keeping busy with mods!

    my latest mod is a Subaru FMU... like the Hilux ones.

    Subaru Gauge Pack (from a 1997/1999 Subaru Forester) installed in my rig. I bought it on eBay in March 2013 for $72.49

    For those not familiar, these are virtually identical to the highly-sought after Hilux Surf Field Monitor Units (FMUs) from the JDM. Only difference is a different vehicle icon (car vs SUV), US units (as opposed to metric) and no degree markers/numbers on the Subaru compass. Same manufacturer and colors, etc. Single DIN unit that displays two kinds of altimeters, digital compass, barometer, and outside temperature.

    It was a blast Buddy. Some amazing scenes and the weather was great. And not too many people dramas. :)

    We were able figure out the route between Ellensburg and basically Mazama, though we cut it off just sort of there.

    Thanks man! Curious to see how the altimeter works when I drive home in a week or two, as I go over the Bighorns. :p Supposedly not that accurate (true) and maxes out at 10k feet (LAME!).

    Hope to see you this summer, see the updates on Frank and Igor, and hopefully get some wheeling in!

    Pretty well overall. Sometimes it feels like it needs to stay compressed longer instead of the typical, quick, strong rebound. but I realized this behavior is very terrain dependent. It was nearly full weight this weekend and the temps, while not hot hot, were more typical for the wheeling we will do.

    I gotta say that where this rear setup works best is when I push it very hard. :cool:

    I did just that going down the last section of our run. Was followed by a nicely setup 2nd gen (mid travel, kings F&R) who had to work very hard to try to keep up. And he was definitely trying. :D

    It was a series of long switchback backs. Not morrison types, but rather, tight sweeps that I was able to really hard brake into and flog it off of the corners. The distance between the hairpins varied from a 2-300 yards to 1/4 mile. The truck was really sweet and felt fully under control at or near the limit of what I was OK with and just danced over the terrain. Was awesome.

    I'm thinking I'd like to hold off on further changes until this Winter maybe. :fingerscrossed:
