Starting to lurk from Philadelphia, family is vacationing at Aulani in July

 

Maybe it has a Chevy V8?

Of course!! Planning to spend minimal time at the resort. Wish I could bring my Taco - apparently it won't fit in the overhead compartment. Probably going to rent a Wrangler to get around.

Anyone have any recommendations on must see/do?

 

For what your paying you better never leave the resort.....LOL

 

There's plenty to see and do....
Start with driving around the island to sight see. Eat at one of the shrimp trucks and check out the beaches on the North Shore (Hide you valuables). Hike Diamond Head. If your interested in our culture, go to the Polynesian Cultural Center or go to the Hotel Luau. There's lots more too.

Okay, I got some stuff up for grabs. Replaced parts recently. Wanna get them out of my garage. PM me if you're interested and I'll send pics. They're of my '06, 4.0 4WD.

Mud flaps (not OEM, I forget the brand but they were $200 for the set of 4)
Stock air intake with K&N filter.

I had a great long weekend trip to Oahu from Alaska, thanks for the pointers.

We stayed on the North Shore (airbnb). I wasn't thrilled with the shrimp in the shrimp trucks. Well made and all that, just farmed shrimp doesn't taste as good as wild caught.

I do want to add "Konos" in Waialua as a great place for pork. Look for a pig riding a surfboard.

Also Nico's on Pier 38 at the west end of Wakiki, excellent seafood.

My wife and I made a game of seeing how many tacos we could spot at each traffic light, they are clearly nearly ideal for day trips to the beach.

I wonder how much work a bone stock 4x4 taco would need to make the dirt trail around Ka'ena point say 9-10 months out of the year?

Why yes...I believe they are!!! He's outdone himself! Should ask him to join us on the next Peacock outing!!

 

I took my bone stock paper plate 2013 trd sport prerunner to kaena point with no problems on the dry days. Got stuck in the sand though.
