I'm moving into my new house next week and I decided I'm going to have the garage floor epoxied. The company I used in my current home is no longer around, shame because they did a great job for a fair price. Anyone know of someone or a company that they can recommend?

Also looking for an electrician to run some new lines for ceiling fans, any recommendations?

I've been doing the same on CL. Saw the dude on there posting a 3 car garage for 399 but I'm skeptical because he doesn't grind or acid etch. He only power washes the concrete. I don't know much about it but the last two houses I had, the guys did a diamond grind and etch on my existing home. On my new house they only did an etch because it was new concrete... From his multiple posts he also doesn't use a top coat sealer.

I got a line on a guy that a buddy of mine uses on a lot of his remodel jobs (he owns his own remodel company) but I've not been able to get a hold of him.

I found another guy on CL named Rick as Superior flooring, seems legit at $1.25 @sqft. It's what I paid for my other houses too. sounds like he does it right.

It's amazing some of these other shops charge as much as $3.00 @sqft... I'll upate the post as soon as I find someone.

Alex (ames) used to do garage flooring. He's out of town however.

I know an electrician but he is commercial. I can get you his number if you like?

I'd be interested in talking to your electrician if he is interested in doing a residential home side job.. :)

Post up if you find a good garage floor guy/company. Going to need to do the garage floor at the new house. I thought about one of the HD kits, but I have heard mixed results.

I'm not a fan of the HD methods.. they dont last very long from what I've seen. I've always been told to go with a an epoxy that is 100% solids, not water based. My neighbor did a HD Bear kit and it lasted about 3 years.. I had mine done with a 3 part epoxy and it's still good 9 years later...

I've done a couple garages with the kit sold at Lowe's or Home Depot. They come in a variety of sizes with instructions and takes about 3 hrs.

I used http://simpleelectricaz.com (Graham specifically) to do the Main Panel and Shop Sub-Panel upgrade when I moved in. Not the cheapest, but very complete and thorough including dealing with permits and new overhead incoming line.

Alex did mine many moons ago.
    I like them without grit.
Makes sliding around under the truck so easy, downside is be careful if it gets wet. Very slppery.
The lighter colors reflect light also making it easier to see stuff.

I would advise against the DIY kits, we use them at work and they don't hold up well.
