I'm curious about what the frame looks like under the brackets, after the bolt-on sliders have been on there a while. Also for anyone up north that has had them for a couple years or more, how a powdercoat finish holds up to the elements (mainly road salt) (scrapes from rocks are a different story). Do you have to re-finish these things on a regular basis?

For the guys that have had cars run into the sliders, was there any frame damage? Frame still straight after the accident?

Toyota bed mat (1st mod), Toyota all season floor mats, Rear spring TSB, Map light mod, Fog light mod, Putco yellow fog bulbs, Weather Tech window vents, Extra d-rings, Mounted mag light, TRD CAI with AFE pro dry filter, '05 front mud flaps (winter only), 2 set's of wheels/tires, 285/75/16 Hankook MT's, Black Painted 1st Gen TRD wheels (wheeling set) Black powder coated FJ Cruiser with 265/70/17 BFGoodrich KO2's (everyday), painted center of grill & bumper black, Devil horns, OME with 885's + spacers front, OME shocks w/OMD designed rear springs, Front diff drop, Rear trailer plug relocate, ATO IFS skid, Relentless Trans & Transfer skids, BAMF bolt on rock sliders, Relentless tailgate reinforcement, Uniden 75 CB radio, BAMF antenna bracket, TRD exhaust, high lift jack w/ATO mounts. And of course ProEFX Towing Mirrors!
If you take your front mud flaps off you will need to redo them once a year or every other year around here depending how picky you are. Just so you know like one person hinted on most everyone is going to love and recommend the brand that they have. Your best bet is to look around at all the different vendors and there web pages to find out what ones you like best. Most vendors are order specific so stuff can be done like amount of sweep up angle and/or kick outs, fill panels and never mind square, round or hybrid types.
Just so that you know I have BAMF and like them but if you want really clean welds look at Pelfreybilt. They are probably the cleanest looking ones out there.

I usually end up doing mine twice. Once for spring, and once before all the hard snow starts falling and they put all the salt on the road. I also use it to check the frame. So far, no issues.

I assume you've been touching up with a rattlecan? Was the original finish a powdercoat, or normal paint?

After seeing the SOS Concepts sliders on @CMan's truck, I bought a set myself. I should be getting them painted tomorrow and hopefully installed this weekend.

I just received my AllPro sliders on Tuesday. The welds look really nice (unlike the previously posted picture.)

I can't wait to get them painted and installed!

Hmm. I have all pro HD sliders waiting for me at home, probably delivered about the same time frame. I sure hope I don't get home from 16 days of working out of state to find a set that looks like that.

Thanks man. I was pretty happy with the finished product. Wasn't too hard to make them. Im actually building them for people here in so cal that don't want to purchase them from far away and take it up the butt in shipping costs. Definitely not trying to compete with any of the big name companies but just trying to make it a win win situation for anyone who lives relatively close to me.

Thanks man I appreciate that. AP is a great company I'm sure that there was just a mess up somewhere in a batch or two. Seems like most people are happy with their products from AP. Sorry you were one of the few unlucky ones! That sucks!

Hopefully they're strong welds at least even if they don't look like typical AP quality.
