Im willing to bet a loaded limited is $39-40k, current limited is $37k, Pro is $38k, you have to look at it from a model aspect you can get a base tundra for the price of a loaded tacoma with features, people will pick based on that and their needs. The current GM twins fully loaded are 39-41k and sell for that much. Price increase from 1st to 2nd gen was 1-2k increase, you better bet toyota wont cut into current profit margins and now your getting heated mirrors and seats, crawl control, wireless charging, sunroof, etc. There will be a price increase guarantee it.

That's unfortunate, Sweers just told me red would be the only color available in the long bed configuration.

Just the bed though. The rest of the truck can be in the color of your choosing. And since people have been complaining the body looks the same as Gen 2 they will be going with the hexagon shape instead of rectangle on the long bed models.

Like I said with a lot a parts carrying over I doubt the increase will be that much.
As long as my sport is still like 31-32k I'm good lol.

This is a very helpful post. If I lived in Cali I'd be coming to see you when the time comes. I actually went to a dealer to ask these questions and they never would give me a straight answer.

So when Sweers said in the video interview that they're going to offer an optional 4:92 rear end on the Gen3 Tacoma he was only speaking in Toyota truth... That is, only a certain % of one or more Tacoma models will come off the line with the optional axle & it will be luck 'o the draw for a customer to find one?

Seems to me something as specific as an optional rear end ratio would be 'orderable' for any one customer, as it is to many Big-3 buyers.

Frustrating as it is, it appears that Toyota is making my decision to go with them for my next rig harder & harder, which sucks as I want one. Bottom line is that I might be forced to the F-150 option. For now I will keep the hope alive & see what happens when the new Tacoma starts hitting dealer lots this fall.

Extremely doubtful, I guarantee a minimum $500 increase in price, they increased price in the 1st to 2nd gen change. Samething here, sure parts are shared but its a new gen in a more expensive market with lots of new options and features. Toyota is in the business of making money not losing money, they wont sell at truck that has more options and features for less than the current truck with less mpg, less options, less features, etc. My local dealer confirmed this, he said expect $500-1,500 increase.

imo, Your dealer info to you basically confirms the new Tacoma will be priced similar to the new Chevy Colorado
Just doing a very basic look see on a base crew cab / double cab

    Chevy Colorado $25,205 starting
    Toyota Tacoma $24,745 starting

To state the 2016 Tacoma will most likely be $500- $1500 increase is not unrealistic to expect.

I spoke with my local dealer yesterday about 2016 Tacomas and he said that he expects delivery in November 2015 and that the prices will go up between 2 and 5%. He went to a Tacoma showing last week and had pictures of a 2016 in inferno red. I emailed him to send me a few of them, so if he does I'll post them here. I tried to search for a 2016 inferno, but couldn't find any pictures. Has anyone seen a 2016 in that color yet?
