this is true!! i think the clips are 3.5 over stock. i think. could be wrong. could be 4.5 but still not enough for some kits.

i want to get a fiberglass hood and create a one piece of my current front end. but who knows if that will ever happen

i wouldnt do it unless they make one for your truck. they tend to sit high on the truck as well

No way that clip would line up with a 2nd gen.

also for the rack slider question. why does everyone want to do it? there have been many trucks that raced that dont have it. and im sure most of us dont beat on our trucks like others.

Most of eat us racks alive. Never seen a race truck running a stock rack that doesn't break all the time.

So working out the budget, does it make more sense to add the bypass hoop upfront and shock tower cross brace when the new kit is installed or would I be better off ordering a new front diff from east Coast gear supply regeared and with their bearing sleeve ready to bolt in during the instal? Only running 33's but I know I need to re-gear at some point.

As much as I like your idea trying not to use a card to pay for it. But it kinda does make sence to knock it out while everything's apart!

I have noticed you guys with tundys eat racks, but how many first gen tacomas here have eaten through a rack?

This DOES NOT include your rack breaking from a lower balljoint failure, or any other failure...

Cut them in the middle add rubber hoses rated for gasoline and tighten the hell out of the hose clamp or you will get an emission CEL.
