Instead of running a "Taco lean" spacer, or preloading the driver side coilover, why aren't we running a 50 lb stiffer spring on the driver side?

    Thoughts?

We would have to figure out exactly what 50lbs on a coil equals lift wise. Also different driver weight could still provide different results that still show a lean. Maybe it would work just my concerns

I know I put the taco-lean spacer in the hypothetical, forget that. Just stick to coilovers.

I have 600 lb springs and to level the truck, 9 threads showing on the driver side and 3 on the passenger. It's been about 1,500 miles and I'm noticing a little lean come back. Not much, but now I'll need probably 11 threads showing.

It'd be nice if a suspension vendor could chime in.

I think that the stock springs are side specific from the factory. So with that thought in mind, I'm sure the aftermarket springs should be able to do this. But imagine the added confusion - from inventory to installation this would create if you did not pay close attention to details. The springs would need to be clearly marked for each side

Springs are already clearly marked unless someone repainted them. They're marked "1400.300.600" for a 14", 3"ID, 600lb spring.

If I had the extra springs I'd experiment with it.

The more we pre-load the driver side, doesn't that equate to less up travel on that side?

Maybe a better fix would be a longer spring on that side, however they're sized in 2" increments, so the next up would be 16". Might be a little too long.

@Downsouth Motorsports Have you guys played with this?

I have Eibach 650# springs on my All Pro LT cranked down to give some lift. I'm curious what I'd have to upgrade to to eliminate having to crank them at all. 650# spring but longer? Or same length spring but go to a 700#? I'm guessing (And this is pure guessing without knowing the true in depth knowledge that goes into all this crap) that higher spring rate so your block size when compressed is smaller. Maybe?
