I also put my island on antique casters....there is a floor outlet to power my outlets with USB ports. Just food for thought.D062C7ED-ECB5-4770-8900-B3E5DBA43FCF_zps_9f3473b65f065036160b2fdf15cbbddc2566e4d4.jpg

Just put all the deck supports on the stacking frames. You'll be more than fine. You could park your Taco on your deck:thumbsup:

Question in regards to doing it the right way: I was digging around and it seems the previous owner did a little bit of plumbing work and never pulled a permit (or at least nothing is on record at the Town Building Dept). I am replacing Sheetrock in the downstairs bathroom and most of the work for what appears to have been replaced is now exposed....I could easily get to the fixture connections for the shower by cutting a hole in the downstairs bedroom closet too.

That being the case, has anyone ever filed for an after the fact permit? I am sure I could just carry on my way and cover it all up, but don't want to shoot myself in the foot when it comes time to sell the house and an inspector sees that new plumbing was installed at some point and a title inspection turns up no permits.

How is a private inspector going know it's "new"?

In the basement, you can clearly see where they installed new PEX piping branching off the original copper. My inspector didn't say anything when we purchased the house and being naive, I didn't know it was something I could have followed up on. Not concerned with the integrity of the workmanship - no leaks and everything is a solid connection. I have a family friend that did some work later on down the line and never said anything looked out of place when he was down there.

Maybe I am making a big deal out of nothing, but being my first house, not sure how much un-permitted work of that nature could haunt me down the line (insurance claims and such along with selling down the road).

Remove and replace doesn't always require a permit.

After a full day of head scratching on the layout of my box newels and how to best balance the look of the panels with respect to how the handrails intersect them at the two different angles caused by my curved section and straight section of stairs , I produced a cut list and in a long , dusty , finger threatening , constantly re-focusing effort , I milled all the rails and stiles and planed the black walnut panel inserts

I'm hoping to get all the panels glued up tommorow

Milling tenons on rails that are only 3 1/8" wide is not easy . This was the lesson learned today .

No router table? What are you going to use for finish?
Today I'm seeing how fast I can build a 12x8 kit shed from Lowes in full sun and hot weather? Oh and the homeowner wants to help..

Did the same thing with the refrigerator install in the kitchen. I have to stop looking at your work. Too many ideas that I would not mind having.

To hot for him. I've already deviated from the instructions. The kit doesn't come with flooring plywood and wants you to connect 2x4s to make a 12' board. So we got a 12 footer and changed the flooring from 24" to 16"
