I don't think it was anyone on here, but I saw a green 03 or 04ish Tacoma with a camper with a "Fast N Furious" style wing mounted at the back. WTF

    Petey -

I hope you don't take any offense to this but, I would not waste my money on that "lift" kit. I think you are asking for trouble. I would do a bit more research and save a few more bucks before going that route. I have never heard of "Fat Bob's Garage" but, just looking at that "kit" and the price and I doubt you will be happy with the product.

It's for 5-Lug Tacomas, which have only two options for "lift kits." I've been reading everyone's reviews for the past few years for the product on the 5-Lug forum section in Tacomaworld and they seem very positive. Believe me, I would spend more money on ha product everyone's heard of, but unfortunately, 5-lugs have a very limited aftermarket market :(

I'm just installing this kit for bigger tire clearance because, for some reason, the biggest tires you can put on a stock Tacoma are 29's :/

I've heard as decent enough stuff as you can for 5 Lug lifts about the Fat Bob's. I think you'll be happy. Options are obviously limited as you say though.

Hi everyone! I'd be interested in meeting up with some folks, certainly.

I'm new to the area from Montana. I work up in Sterling and I'll be living in Stafford, but I'm renting a room in Dumfries right now.

I'm really curious if there is anyone on here that might help me out with working on my truck. I'm an Army brat and I've used the auto skills centers in the past with my father. I'm here without all my tools and I know no one.

Any chance someone might be able to help me out? Maybe accompany me to use the auto skills center on Quantico or Belvoir?

I've got a droning sound coming from my drivers side (2012 AC). I think it's the wheel bearing, so I was planning on replacing the CV, needle bearing (maybe), and wheel bearing, all at once.

I'd really like to make some new friends with common interests, and work on my rig.

    Thanks.

Welcome aboard! The quantico auto hobby shop is a good one (except their hours kinda suck....Wed-Sun only). I just did a half axle replacement due to a torn CV and it was very straight forward. If I get some time, I'd be happy to assist. I'm in the middle of a home remodel, so most of my time is taken right now.....but soon after I'll be free.
