This might sound a little nutty but since the Limited Gen 3 is in the running(probably get a TRD) I would like opinions/comments on if people think I could change out the chrome side mirrors on the Limited for color coded ones like on the TRD models. I know you can,t do it before purchase but was wondering if after you purchased the Limited you could order color coded side mirrors and pay Toyota to switch them out. Yes I hate the chrome side mirrors on the Limited that much that I would actually consider doing this. Granted a TRD in the same color as the Limited would have to be available for this to even be a possibility and mechanics and electronics in the two different mirrors would have to be the same. Well! What else am I going to think about with no solid specs available to discuss.:der:

With enough money, anything is possible.

True. This seems doable to me. I mean if someone whacks off your mirrors and they need to be replaced....why not replace them with the ones you prefer. This issue I have must be rooted in the fact that my TRD limited Tundra has zero chrome and everything is color coded. I could live with some of the little chrome accents on the Gen 3 Limited but those horrible completely out of place side mirrors send me into a Rage just looking at them. I know..I know I have issues. Just get the TRD...I know..I know.Probably will.

Shouldn't be a problem. My wife has a corolla with color matched mirrors. Long story short, replacements are about 500$.

Just a matter of money, but if it's just the mirrors that are your
concern, why not just paint them?

I have a feeling the chrome is some sort of plastic covering crap and you probably can't paint over it. Come on Toyota! Offer a TRD with the nice interior.

Maybe, a plastic chrome cover. Pop the 3m taped cover and viola! Uncover the factory matched paint on the side mirrors..

If it's like the 2012-2015's you should be able to just replace the mirror caps, not the entire mirror. They're about $100 USD for a pair.
