both sides on the front of my 2004 have the areas that bolt them into the truck are either cracked or totally broken, both of the turn signal lights will just pull right out, the headlights mounts are cracked and one is only holding on by one bolt

Im looking for a drop in replacement not really interested in HID lights or any of that, cause i don't want to spend a ton (sub $200) on this fix but want do want at least OEM level of lighting and longevity

well got a lttle bad news for ya, it aint the headlight that those lights connect to, its the front grille and they have a very weak spot on each end where if you are rough with it they crack easily.

you need to replace the front grille to fix it.

that said, its cheap and easy to replace it all if you want to make it look new again, I just did everything on mine

the side lights are $15 each http://www.ebay.com/itm/291177268609?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

the headlights I got both for $66 http://www.ebay.com/itm/151055113002?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

and the turn signals $11 http://www.ebay.com/itm/271257690021?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

and I went with the all chrome grille for $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...vel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

but there are the original oem stock chrome and black versions for around $65 http://www.ebay.com/itm/01-04-TOYOTA-TACOMA-PICKUP-CHROME-GRILL-GRILLE-ASSEMBLY-REPLACEMENT-/310972846521?fits=Model:Tacoma&hash=item48676d11b9&vxp=mtr

Well that is good and bad news, and thank you for all of the very helpful links, i really like the all chrome grill, thinking i am going to go with that this time around.

Have you had the replacements long enough to tell how they hold up over time? i.e. leaking, fogging, chrome pealing off the grill, things like that?

Found this one on a ebay search, thinking i might order it, as it looks to have all the parts i need in one package

or this one as it is all chrome

literally just did it all this week, by the way the grille comes with all new snap clips and they are a little tricky to snap in so when you think its in all the way give it a little extra bump until you hear the faint click. DO NOT remove the clips and put them on the truck and then try to snap it on. the reason is its all still new so the snap isn't easy to snap and I broke two of them trying so I put them all back on the grill then did as above. the ones on the bottom went on very easy but the ones on the top were the ones I had to give a little extra "bump" until they snapped onto the truck. the all chrome looks nice and im glad I went with that one to get rid of the black insert.

as to the lights, everything seamed to be made just as well as oem and they look great and the truck looks brand new now, the only thing is my drivers side needs adjusting or the bulb needs to be reinstalled because its pointing high. I changed them after the headlights were installed so I couldn't see what I was doing very well changing the bulbs.

that reminds me, dont use the bulbs that come with the headlights, get some good bulbs for the headlights, they come with cheapo weak looking bulbs (one of my high beam filaments was broken) so I upgrade to some new Sylvania extended vision bulbs.

one word of caution, I broke my grille emblem, so when you pout yours back on snap the bottom clip first then the two top clips get snapped. I did it the other way around and broke off my bottom snap so I had to buy a new emblem. im pretty sure it was the way I was putting it on that broke it but being old brittle plastic was part of the reason as well.

if yours breaks or you just want a new one I found this the best deal on them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121669052278?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

there are some advertised on Amazon for as little as $8-$9 but those are Chinese stick on emblems falsely advertised as oem parts. I know because I ordered one and just opened the mail to find its a stick on trunk emblem, plus after ordering the guy pawned my order off to a china supplier without me even knowing it.
