I went with another outlet option and no longer need this. It includes some of the factory harness for an easy install. It came off my 2014 truck. It has the usual scratches but works great. $75 plus shipping.

Akkyle, is the bed prewired for this on your truck? I want to remove mine and wondering if there is a blanking plug for the wiring.

Good question, I'm planning on putting this on it's own separate circuit with a 1000 watt inverter, so I honestly don't know if it prewired, I can take a look at it tomorrow and see if it is though

I'll bet it's not prewired. Unlike a lot of optional features that a base model wiring harness has plugs for, the 120v bed outlet had a stand alone grey harness that runs all the way into the cab. I could be wrong though.

I have the outlet, but not the box.

I am also curious if the wiring is in there. I guess the only way to find out is check if there is wiring at the location of the inverter.

AKKYLE, thanks! Please direct me to your thread when you do the inverter. I'd like to do the same. With 300w I can just charge a toothbrush, LOL. Otherwise I'll just blank the connector off somehow.

    Sorry, sold.

I'd like to see my old plug connected to a proper inverter too. All I ever do with my inverter is charge batteries for my tools. 1000w would have many more uses.

Will do, also anyone have any idea where the best place to stash an inverter is? Was thinking engine bay, but might have an issue with waterproofing the inverter. Next is the cab, but single cab Doesn't leave much room.

Single cabs don't have a center console, unfortunately I have a shifter there, and maybe behind the seat, but I have plans for all that space in the future. Possibly under the bench seat. I just like the idea of it bring outside the cab for wiring purposes, but weatherization of the inverter is looking like a pain. Also looked into marine grade inverters but idk if they are weather proof or not

    Thanks Guys, Sub'd!
There's a shitload of room to mount between the inner and outer box. See my thread where I'm getting flamed about shitty box design. Kyle, let's figure out a waterproof solution high between the box sides. This could be cool. Start a new thread on this and post the inverter pics. I'm committed here. Post a link.

Not really, maybe 2 feet is the deepest I've probably been. snow and rain is the main reason for waterproofing the inverter
