I saw that, too. But the magnaflow CB is smaller pipe, and it appears to be a different muffler URD is using . I'm considering scrapping mine for the URD to get the full 3".

Just making sure he was aware of that. I thought URD was using a proprietary muffler and was surprised when I received mine.

I had my heart set on the TRD exhaust but went to a local exhaust shop (Speedway Muffler) just to peek and end up with a Magnaflow. It sounded OK but I wasn't satisfied. A week later got the TRD SC and the TRD exhaust . Love it! No regrets! Sounds awesome!

I actually didn't know that. On YouTube the URD 3" sounds a little bit deeper than the magnaflow.. That's why I have trust issues. Lol tomorrow I'm gonna stop by a few dealers in my area and hope that they have a taco with the Trd catback installed and ask for a test drive.

I think it is a magnaflow made for URD, because magnaflow catalog doesn't show one with the same specs that the URD kit comes with. They don't actually say it's a magnaflow and I wonder if a current setup still uses one?

I went with the TRD from my dealer, who matched the trdparts4u price, without the shipping.
It bolted right up in about 40 minutes using all the stock hangers, and it sounds nice and mellow without being obnxious.
It's opened up a little over 5000 miles, but it's still "quiet but nicer than stock."
I don't have headers or anything else.

Just came back from Micheals Toyota in Bellevue. I was surprised that they listened me out and basically respected my wishes and let me hear a TRD Exhaust sound. I gotta say, it does sound good, the truck already had a SC so it sounded really nice. I think I'm going to now have to choose between the TRD and the URD one. Banks maybe might still be on the table.

As far as I know, they don't have an entire system. Just the exhaust itself that you have to weld on.

This is my vote actually. I went from a truck with the TRD catback (access cab, manual) and traded it for a same-year truck in the exact same color with the stock exhaust (double cab, auto).

The access cab, manual and loud exhaust is fun, until it's not...By that I mean it quickly gets annoying on long trips. You often find that you're talking really loud and almost shouting with people in the truck. If the truck was just a toy I would have skipped the TRD and went with my other suggestion in this thread, a Flowmaster 40 series, just because I love the sound and if you're going to go louder than stock I'd like something that sounded good (The TuRD catback sounded like a muffler that was going bad). Basically not good enough to be a fun exhaust and not quiet enough to be enjoyable in the long run.

It's your choice man, but I'd leave it stock or compromise it all and just go with something awesome. I don't think the TRD is that something awesome though lol

Alright fellas.. Looks like I'll be getting the URD 3" Catback. Loco38SUP was awesome in letting me ride with him and letting me hear how the URD sounds like and it pretty much is the exact sound that I'm looking for. Just wanted to say thanks for all the comments and hope y'all have a good day.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but for future searchers, don't discount Gibson. They've got a kit, but I just had a muffler welded up on the stock pipe (one day I'll invest in full 3" setup... maybe). Sound is just about 'right' - slightly deeper than the TRD, volume seemed about the same compared to the Baja I compared against.
