Removing wildlife from the trail

 

At least I hade faith that you wouldn't do it twice so I resumed my position.
I kept looking up at Ebbs because he likes to spot from the top of a ten story cliff.

 

Don't hate

 

Got an aerial view of the little hike myself and Gavin made... Took my truck on what we thought was a little road through BFE to just go look at the more intense shit, turned out we ended up going backwards through strike ravine. Got into the canyon at the arrow and I hung a shock mount on a rock. Because we very wisely ventured into unknown territory alone with no recovery gear in my 5 lug, we Got to hike back to BFE (circled).


Luckily Micah was a nice enough dude to come help me out (we consequently missed the raffle and dinner, sorry and thank you again guys) I only needed a winch off the rock and a tow in one other spot, I think all 3 of us were amazed that an open diff 5 lug did all that. It wasn't without carnage, however...

OH THE HUMANITY! Rip mud flap.

Seriously got so lucky nothing else broke, even the little 5 luggers have some of those Toyota off road genes in em. Dumb decision turned into a good lesson and story.

Monument Valley

Rolled out with RebelTaco and crew to TOTW immediately after arrival in BFE




Made it to the Top! No damage and no tugs







I'll blame lack of sleep and attention for this. We left the group to get back to town and get groceries before we got really tired so I basically did the whole rest of TOTW loop by myself...in a PreRunner This ledge sucked but with the help of my hi-lift, we got out of this mess pretty easily.




First morning in BFE



Headed up Sand Flats to Hells Revenge!





Almost followed the Pelfrey's down the first hill to Hells Gate Didn't realize where I was going, so I sat back and took some pics
