I have a white 1st gen and Pyrite Mica 2nd gen, the only advantage to white is the availability of used color matched caps/toppers, the only disadvantage of pyrite mica is that is shows dust much more. I live in Texas and notice no difference with regard to heat.

I didn't vote. I've had white for the last 8 years and have been very pleased with it. But if I were buying a new Taco today I think I might just go with pyrite mica. Only because I'd want something different after 8 years.

I had a 2008 TRD sport super white and loved it. I traded it on my current 2013 Pyrite Mica. I noticed after 5 years of light use there were some tiny rust specks starting to show in the paint just in front of the rear wheel wells but it was super easy to maintain and would hide any scratches well. The pyrite I have now is a super nice color but I see every little scratch on it even if they are super thin. I will most likely go back to white again. Actually pyrite mica is not available in Canada for the 2015 model.

Black Sand Peral, I've had mine for 5 years and the Peral hides the scratches well, plus sometimes it looks dark gray and at night looks black. Two colors for the price of one.

If spruce mica was still available I would have gotten that. But it wasn't so magnetic gray it is.

Btw that desert sand color on the 2016 is badass.

Food for thought. Pyrite mica will be one of those colors in a few years that will look odd. Dodge tried to do this years ago with a burnt orange dakota. It was cool for a year, then blah. But I know Micas have been around awhile. While the color is "neat", you might wish you bought white for the long haul. Not knockin the pyrite owners, just my 2 cents. It's why car manufactures stick with white, black, blue, red, silver and grey.

White. White lasts better. Dirt/dust shows up less.

As an earlier commenter said, there's no doubt White will win, because there are more White owners skewing your sample.

Obviously I'm biased, but I love having a truck the color of dust. We had a white Geo Metro years ago (wife's first car) and I swore I'd never put up with that again. Then we had a black Suburban, and it was awful to keep clean, and huge. Plus non-colors are just so boring. You know those storm troopers are clones, right?... I'd rather be original.

I really wanted blue ribbon, but they didn't seem to have that in stock at the time, and the deal I got on the PM was too good to pass up. In retrospect, I don't think the blue would have looked as good with the blacked out wheels and other trip pieces, whereas the PM looks a little more rugged. In my three month experience, PM is not so dark that it shows every little imperfection, and the Taco is not so big that it takes more than 30 minutes to hand wash. So, there's my long-winded answer. Enjoy a color. It's not that hard to keep it looking nice.

Pyrite Mica would have been my second choice if I hadn't bought a Spruce Mica... So I vote Pyrite Mica.

I got MGM. I like the color, but such a pain in the ass to keep clean. Here on LI, during the early spring months the truck is almost yellow. I could wash on Monday and come Tuesday morning you see the pollen already.

If I had to do again, I would probably get WHITE. Dont see many around my parts, but it looks real sharp with dark tinted windows.

The best color hands down when clean is black. If you are anal about keeping your truck clean, black is a great color.

I think Spruce Mica is the best color, I had a similar color on my 95 4Runner I drove in high school.

I love the super white but the black crud left from the exhaust irks me.
