6th Annual South Padre Island Meet 07/25/2015

Is it just me or is time just flying by?

 

Not fast enough...I'm sooo ready for this trip!

 

I wish we could get more local RGV Tacos to show up to the meet. They're some nice Rigs down here! But I guess they're not on Tacoma World bummer. Maybe I can find a local offroading page and spread the word there, of course only Tacos tho.

As long as it's a Toyota we really don't care, fjs, 4runners, tundras. The more (lifted or not) the merrier!

Hope you don't mind, but I cross posted the meet info on the Tacoma forum Texas regional page, and the Tacomas of Texas facebook page to see if we can get some more people to go. There are a few more Tacoma groups on Instagram that I'm following and I can cross post it on there as well....

 

RGV you say... right in the heart of it. My buddy and I will be going, he has a 4Runner. My other friend wants to go, but he thinks he should ride with us because he has a jeep.

 

Pretty fast, trying to get my bed rack in before the meet for my RTT.

 

I'll be in for the 7th meet

I've been thinking of making a Group or Page for Tacos in the RGV and creating an event to try and get the word out locally, I know there's a Corpus Group page but not one for the valley. I just haven't gotten around to it, been busy planning my wedding that's creeping up real soon(July 3rd) and don't want to step on anybody's shoes by creating an event on Facebook for the meet.

I've seen those here, they're dead..... Lol well was origanally referring to facebook, I went ahead and created a page there, Tacomas of the RGV- Texas. Hopefully it gets good traffic and I'll create an event see if I can get a caravan going from the mcallen or brownsville area to meet with you guys at P.I.

 

Just liked the page on FB. I grew up in McAllen and will be visiting my parents the week of the meet.

 

Grew up in brownsville, live in edinburg now, there are a lot of nice taco's down here, wish it was more active as in meets or hangouts. Had a 350z before and organized a meet once of around 30-40 z's but work started taking too much of my time and sold the car for my wedding. Trying to get active again in something lol, this is the meet i look forward to year round.

 

There are several tacos up here and our meets are few and far between. One would think that we would have more with the size of the area. When we do have them they are usually in Lewisville, because it's in the middle of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

 

That is awesome! Hopefully you'll be able to spread the word!

I just realized I haven't added a "going" list to the OP!

I'll do it either tomorrow evening after work or this weekend. Going to my girlfriend's sister's high school graduation this evening at the Alamodome.

Has anybody else been able to invite other tacoma, or toyota owners in general, through word of mouth?

 

Yes, I have two other buds here from San Antonio that will be making it down. Debating if we are going to follow group Sat morning or head out there Friday night and just meet in Port Isabel.
