Yeah. I couldn't make it very far either.....that guy doesn't appear to have a clue. No changes have been made to the manifolds, motor, etc. the post I wrote in the beginning of this thread describes the differences with the tx pro, tx baja, and trd pro.

I have to agree about the TRD Exhaust.....Mine came with it and I swapped it for a stock exhaust after about 1500 miles. Other than the "Noise Factor" I don't feel any difference in power, and the mpg is basically the same as per my Scan Gauge after a couple tanks of gas. So the exhaust is pretty much a do you like the sound or not kind of thing, no serious real world gains in power.

TX = TRD Off Road + TRD Beadlock rims
TX Pro = TRD OR + TRD Beadlock rims + TRD exhaust
TX Baja (2012 - 2014) = TRD OR + TRD Beadlock rims + TRD exhaust + upgraded suspension
TRD Pro (2015) = TRD OR + TRD Beadlock rims + TRD exhaust + upgraded suspension + hood scoop

I think this is correct. Unsure of the years available for the TX and TX Pro.

Never heard of the "TX" ...that's why I love this site....always learning.

Couple other differences I just found out between the tx baja and trd pro...
The spring seats on the front coilovers are actually a little different.
The shock hoses on the rear shocks went from a steel braided line to either a rubber line or a rubber covered steel line.

    This comparison is correct.

As an official representative of the TX|Pro community I would like to point out two major differences:

    1. The Baja's upgraded suspension provides additional height all around, which I wish mine had.
    2. The problem that comes with the upgraded suspension is that the reservoir shocks are NOT recommended for towing as it will wear them out faster. Not sure about those on this thread, but I'm pretty sure they don't even sell the towing package on the Bajas. At least they didn't at the dealerships I visited when shopping for my Taco.

FYI, the TX packages were only available on the '12 & '13 MY.

The Baja is a Trd offroad with a few upgrades, so the towing package is standard.

2011 had the TX Package ( because I got one)

    TRD off-road + wheels + side steps

TX Pro had the wheels and TRD exhaust

Correct. TX got the side steps and the Pro got the exhaust. Mechanically though, the Baja does not, or at least from what I am told, have the towing package.

@Cmurder: did you lift your TX? If so, what did you use?

Neither. SR5 or TRD OR. Upgrade the crap out of the suspension on your own with the money that you saved with way better components that the aftermarket offers and get a truck that performs 10 times better then the Baja or the TX Pro ever could.

My truck is stock. Not lifted at all. I did get the rear TSB done with the 3+1. But it's been awhile and I believe it's back to original height.

None yet. I've only got 8000 miles on it though. It's an excellent set up. I've got Donahoes (rebuilt by Icon and an Icon AAL on my Tundra) and the Baja suspension is better. Smoother on the fast stuff and seems more compliant on the slow stuff. Granted I don't live out west so I haven't tried either on those Baja washboard roads but for my driving on forest roads the baja suspension is better.

I never said it was gospel. That's just what I was told and the two Bajas at the dealership didn't have tow packages.

Pretty much every Baja in California came with the factory tow package....have yet to see one on the road without it. Most Pro's in California did not come with it (when I got my Pro 18 of them were on the sheet for California and only 3 had factory tow)...talking with the guy in the NW, all the Pro's up there come with tow. More of what the dealers / area request.

I have a 2012 - with not 3+1, but as my 05 had the TSB done and I really liked it, curious how it rides?

    Any changes to shock performance/last?

Did the stance increase at all? As I have a topper, notice my rear droops a tad. Thinking the 3+1 might be a cure with the softer ride of the TX Baja.
