Hey guys, I just wanted to say that when skygear took a trip from VA to AZ, my build was the original reason he made this trip. I had covered his airfare the first time he came out but we tried to do too many things over a long weekend and did not give ourselves enough time to finish.

When he made this second trip, I offered to fly him out again but he wanted to try to satisfy the demand of folks wanting to take advantage of his onsite assistance so he decided to drive out and help the folks who had been asking for his help. Several folks said they wanted him to build stuff on his trip but when he was in their town these folks were nowhere to be found so those no shows did not contribute to the cost of the trip. Once he arrived, he worked extremely long hours and methodically knocked out a ton of work while he was here in Tucson including building a box on demand for another Taco guy who dropped by and working on other boxes late at night. I have 30 aux lights, a dual battery setup, and a solar panel on my rig so building custom harnesses and installation of that complexity is extremely time consuming. My rig is an FJC so I don't hang out here but if you want to see the outcome of skygear's work you can find my build thread on the FJCruiserForums.

I think we are seeing growing pains you see in many small businesses. I do know that he is behind on orders and he has been working to catch up. I do know that he is a standup guy. The demand for these boxes and harnesses has definitely outstripped his capacity and so keep that in mind and be prepared to wait for him to catch up. I waited 3.5 months for him to come back and finish the work we started last year and it was definitely worth the wait.

I tried calling him an no luck and just as velociraptor was saying people were no shows when he was in there town. I let him crash at my place so he could save some coin. Real stand up guy.

I was just making sure he was alive and if anyone had heard from him. I know there are still some people missing stuff, and we really don't need another vendor who runs off with their money. I'm not saying that is his motives, but I am sure every single one of them would like to know SOMETHING about him.

Bumping this for anyone who might have heard from the guy. No, he doesn't owe me anything. Just trying to make sure he didn't die, go to jail, or run off with money.

Maybe having legal trouble with FBI again. If you remember last time he had this, his lawyer recommended he didnt discuss it at all until it was resolved :notsure:

I've been sitting on a ton of RTMR plates for months and have been waiting for you guys to contact me to buy my plates directly.
I in no way have anything to do with any orders placed with Skygear. If you still need a RTMR plate, please PM me.

As in this post, to clear things up.....I ordered my plate and breaker from Yotamac and had them shipped to Skygear (free shipping in USA) so they could all be shipped together to save on the cost since it was all eventually coming up to Canada.
