    Anyone else experience this?

I just completed Boss COs, Deavers, and Bilstein 5125s in the rear.

    See posts 36, 44, 54, 68, 80, and 83 in this thread:

So, since I am done, I went and got an alignment done. The numbers were not off much at all, only one measurement was out of spec and that was .9 when .8 was the upper limit.

Truck drives great but since the alignment my Cooper AT3s have noticeably more tire whine down the highway. One thing that impressed my about these tires was how quiet they are for an AT tire. Tires only have 3000 miles on them so too soon to see any abnormal wear.

Increased noise was with the truck empty on the way home from the alignment, empty on the way to town yesterday, and also with 200-250 lbs. of landscape timbers coming home yesterday. Whine was consistent empty or loaded.

Could it be 3000 miles of being aligned one way to then be adjusted and aligned and now you have tread on the road bearing more weight/friction than previously? Maybe by driving and wearing in the tire to the new angles/alignment your noise will gradually disappear?

Hope so . . . just haven't ever had this happen after an alignment before and frankly the alignment was not off much at all. Have to just keep an eye on it, I guess.

I'm just thinking that there may be some aggressive tread making noise and it should wear away. Hope so!

Seeing other posts where they are suggesting more caster than spec >2 with lifted trucks and bigger tires?

Though my lift is only 1 1/2" and my tires are 265s.

Here are the numbers from my alignment:

Though the truck drives straight as an arrow, the post alignment tire whine is very noticeable to the point I am genuinely concerned.

After some reading of many other posts with lifts done, they seem to shoot for 2-3" of Caster and my shop tried to get me to 0.

Think I will go back and ask the shop to adjust my Caster and see if that kills the tire drone?
