Wondering if anyone with this kind of setup is also having troubles with this. My old iPhones (both 2G and 3G) will charge on this dongle, but not the 3GS. My brother had the same issue with his BMW, but he had the dealership change it out and it charges now, and I'm wondering if I'm having the same issue. Playback works just fine, but I would really like to get the charge working too.

Ideas or suggestions will help, thanks guys.

What 'dongle' are you referring to? Is it an aftermarket hookup?

For what its worth - I have a 5 year old ipod hook up and the click wheel doesn't work very well on the newer generation ipods, and it also 'clicks' in the middle of the songs. If I plug in my 5 year old nano - it works perfectly. My paticular situation is with the ipod hookup hardware not being 'as compatible' with the newer ipods. So - I ordered a new one. After 5 years, the ipod hook ups have changed a lot and have gotten better, so I don't feel bad about ordering a new one.
