I'm dealing with this same issue (front end noise/vibration when going 40+mph). Worst at 50+mph. I thought it was tires that were cupped, but they were rotated to back and sound is still bad. I'm attempting to do hub bearing assembly replacement next, along with new brake pads. My '10 Taco only has 65,000 with little wheeling so I'm surprised my bearing are noisy already... I guess I'lll find out if replacing the bearings fixes the problem!

I replaced my left front wheel hub a week ago but the noise is still there I replaced it at 70000 and it went away but this time it didn't so going to replace the right front wheel bearing next also the one I replaced a year ago was already bad I'll let you know if anything changes after I do the right front wheel bearing

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Did you by chance bend the heal shield when you put it in?

I'm having a similar humming noise as well. Mine is coming from the drivers side and quiets when I turn the wheel to the right, but not the left. I'm assuming its the bearing.

Just had exact same symptoms, it was a bad front driver wheel bearing.

Just my 2C here. Replace the left (driver) hub and bearings, but just buy the complete set. I had a reputable shop press in a new bearing, but it took too long and cost more than a full replacement. A couple of guys out of California sell these on-line, fully rebuilt and at a great price too. Search for these guys, it is well worth it.

I drove for way too long on my bad bearing since I thought it was just my tires cupping or wearing out (84K on original tires and still going strong) but after replacing the bearing, my Taco is a quiet as a church mouse. No rumble when driving straight, no high-pitched whine, etc... and the silence when making long turns. I believe I was literally within miles of having a full failure. The bearing cavity smelled like an ashtray and had so much metal in it, I could not even see the anti-lock sensor magnet! You don't need any special tools to pull the parts off either. I assume you have dropped a little liquid wrench or such around the hub, right? Just take any 12mm bolt from the truck (BUT NOT THE BRAKE LINE BRACKET ONE) and use it in the two holes drilled in the rotor to pop it loose with no fuss - got to love whoever thought of this trick at Toyota. When you loosen the four 17mm hub bracket bolts, take one of your lug nuts and install the 17mm box end wrench over a lug bolt. Slowly spin the hub while pulling on the wrench and you will feel the hub slowly pulling out of the cavity. Keep slowly spinning the hub while pulling on the wrench and it will come out. Throw away the o-ring, install your new unit and drive happy again. I did tap the hub mount twice with a small brass rod to loosen it first. This worked for a truck that is used in Maryland with the salty roads and had never been taken apart before.

I coated every metal contact point with a copper anti-sieze compound usually reserved for sparkplugs so I don't have to beat the tire/rim off of the truck with a 2X4 the next time. Let me know how it work for you.

Sorry, Jimmy. I only just now see you sell these too. Thanks for helping us Taco owners out. Seems like fixing things is a dying art now.
