I would avoid autozone/pepboys altogether unless you know exactly what brand you are going for. I get everything from www.bmaparts.com, just send them and email and ask for avaliable options.

Being said, Contitech it good, so is Victor Reinz, or OEM. Any OEM replacement will be fine. Be sure to do the tensioner, and anything else that's easy to get to while in there.

$188.56 - Aisin TKT-025 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump (Amazon)

I believe Aisin is Toyota's OEM waterpump manufacturer. I can say this from personal experience when I ordered an Aisin waterpump kit for my wifes 99 camry. It looked exactly the same as the original toyota waterpump. The only difference between the Aisin waterpump and the original one was that the Aisin one had the "Toyota" name grinded down (for legal reasons I assume... I imagine the pump was cast in the same mold). I just did a timing belt on a 99 civic hx and used an Aisin timing belt kit. It has a Mitsobushi timing belt, koyo idler pulley, and a Honda tensioner spring in the original Honda bag. The waterpump was different from the original honda one but appeared to be of good quality.

I recommend getting front engine seals for the camshafts and crankshaft as they are not part of this kit. Try amazon or rockauto. The kit on rockauto is about $8 cheaper and you can get seals there too for cheap. I would get a bunch of stuff youll need later. Spark plugs, Air/fuel filters, wipers, brakes, etc...

Much cheaper then $322.52 from advanceauto -- and you can get more parts.

From my understanding if it came with the towing package with a different clutch fan(orange or green).

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Yep, Aisin also makes the automatic transmissions in these trucks as well. They are a big contractor for Toyota and they make great stuff.
