Hi sixtys, looking for a bit of advice. Can you ever get the smell of cigarettes out of a car? I'm looking at a 2007 car that has been owned since new by a smoker. Lightly driven, only 39K total miles, but I smelled the smell the moment I opened the door. Other than the cigarette smell the car has been very very well cared for. Should I walk? Make a lowball offer in the hopes of getting smell out?

    Neat pic!

Don't know about the cigarette smell, I would think it could be covered up and eventually go away. How long it would take?????

"MIGHT" be a new toy on the patch tonight: going to look at a used Skag Tiger Cat zero turn mower at 5. 2012 unit with 222hrs on it, and it looks clean in the pic. New ones are over 8K with tax, and are supposed to be very good machines.
I was looking at a new commercial Cub cadet zero turn with a steering wheel, and what they consider a garden tractor with a heavy duty fabricated deck. Both priced around $5500, but am not that keen on Cub Cadet even though I like the concept of a zero turn with a steering wheel instead of the lap bars.
My 1989 Deutz Allis 917H needs an upgrade :(, that garden tractor has served me well and it isn't dead yet! I just got done mowing the wettest part of the front yard with it in anticipation of the heavy rain they are calling for.

    Good shampoo and clean everything.
Make packets of coffee with tissue paper. Lay under seats and in trunk. Replace monthly. Took a year for our van but it's ok now. Try some odor ban..... It will take time. No miracle cure.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. The owner lives nearby, we're still chatting about price. He's also trying to get the smell out but he needs a non-smoker's nose to test the effectiveness. :) I'm going over this morning to check it out and to take a huge bag of baking soda to him. I used some of it to de-stink a car I bought a few years ago and had a whole bunch leftover; he's going to try it out on his car.

Hey Carl, Evening :rain:. Did you hear anything about an accident on the NE Extension just past the Pocono mountain exit(93). Happened yesterday afternoon on the North bound side. Was heading south and saw some of the damage but it looked pretty bad for the car squashed against the median. Can't find any news about it.

Hi Dave, that is one of many accidents on the extension but not the one I saw. I'll have to keep looking. It was a big box truck that some how had a car pinned against the center median and all I could see was the cars roof buckled in:eek:. I'm hoping everyone is alright. Thanks for the site though.

Thanks Sue, I'm not on Facebook. He's probably recuperating from the trip. I never did find out Paul's last name. Sure hope he's doing okay.
