What do you guys think about this? the body looks clean, just a little dirty. Guy says it needs a head gasket. He his asking $1,500. Its hard to find a decent truck like this anymore in the south due to the rust, but this one looks pretty good. I always like getting other peoples opinion on things so let hear them. Oh and also he has the title.

I don't know yet, the guy is suppose to sent me some more pics. I do too I've always had a thing for the 79-83 body style but never could find one with a descent body. I really dig the green too.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
doesn't matter its worth 1500 if the frame is solid, most parts are there and the body is ok to moderate.

I'm considering buying something similar vs buying a newer tacoma. How hard are parts to come by on the pre tacoma trucks? I'm just getting into this. (First post )

    Id say offer him 1k
He'll probably come back at 1250 or so then you can settle on that.

It's your money do what you want!
Looks like a sweet buy though :)

Buy it, get any structural work done if needed, then drop an engine in it from LCE Performance.

What year are you considering? Ive had a 1980 toyota pickup, 1991 4runner, 02 tundra, 07 tacoma, and 06 tacoma. I have a love for the 80-83 models but its hard to find one here that #1 isn't rusted out or #2 chopped to pieces. The 1982 pickup i recently bought looked fantastic but i was on a tight budget and could not get it running for anything. So my advice for you since you are just starting out is....buy something running, never buy a toyota with a 3.0v6, be patient when it comes to looking for one ,and when you find one take a friend with you that isn't a toyota fanatic so when you get all big eyed and excited, he can be the one to tell you if its a piece of junk or a good buy.

Fenders are usually pretty easy to find, finding a cheap 2wd makes a great parts donor. The 22re is bulletproof. Make sure the frame is solid ,and if it is i would offer $1250.
