I was gonna ask, but I'd definitely not be happy paying a premium for retro work and receiving those results.

    Glad it's been worked out

It's in the works of being resolved, still the follow through left. I do like the headlights but being relegated to daytime only driving isn't what I expected, nor is tearing them apart lol. Waiting on hold for 25 minutes and 20 seconds wasn't the greatest thing in the world either.

I would try loosening the nut before going through the process of pulling the housing apart. I think you should be able to loosen the nut enough to get some rotation out of the projector. Save you some time and effort if it works.

Hope you didn't pay for name brand Morimoto components. :)

Depending on if the H4 adapter plate was properly modified, you may be able to grab the projector and rotated. Chances are it wasn't though.

I'll wait to make sure the agreement is followed through with before I do anything but remove them.

Going to take them out after work and put the stockers back in, I'll at least be able to drive at night without fear of a ticket or causing an accident.

Appreciate all the replies, hopefully this works out and we can both move on.

One thing I failed to mention in the opening posts was that I had contacted him prior to starting this thread and only after that did I start this thread for second opinions. It reads like I didn't talk to him until things went off kilter, no pun intended lol.

OP, I'm like that this thread was civil. There are too many threads where people flame/blast seller xyz at first sign of trouble.. I hope all gets worked out with the seller!

Matter resolved satisfactorly, hopefully a few lessons were learned by both of us.

I'll pull the headlights tonight and try to post up a few pictures for suggestions if I can't see the obvious.

I'm taking full responsibility if something breaks, just as I would have had I broke something during the install. Wish there was more room behind the lights to do something while illuminated. I might be able to put a level on the light before removal and then hook it up to turn it on and adjust rotation leveling them uninstalled. Really hoping not to have to crack the casing apart, but it's all on me now.

Ok, here is what I am looking at. This is the deivers side and worst out of rotation. I need to turn it CCW to achieve horizontal. Feel like I need to put the center of the tab in line with a seam on the reflector bowl, 2 red lines.

Does this seem about right? I can see a nut below the plate with 3 phillips head screws. Sorry for the novice questions, but this is my first go around with projectors, a bit unplanned.

I think I got it, i removed the top plate with 3 screws as it looked like it only secured the spring lock for the bulb, once off there was a keyway looking slot where the white rod on the bulb goes through. I looked through the bulb slot and could visibly see the shutter or whatever and could see it off kilter. Looked to be on bottom rather than the top?

Anyhow, I was able to loosen the big nut and use a wideblade screwdriver to rotate it around to where it appeared to be level and locked it down. Won't know for sure if it worked until later tonight when the sun starts setting.

It seemed to work, and the tab I drew the line on looked way complicated to move. Seemed to work ok, time to reinstall and try it out.

It's back in now, just waiting on the sun to do its thing.

Kind of sucks, noticed after putting it back in there is some sort of stressed area on the inside of the lense. Not sure if I did it taking it out or putting it in or if it was like that before taking it out. Don't believe it was like that when I installed them, just can't win lol. Not really aure what would cause this, hard to get a picture of as the camera wants to lose focus point. Hopefully it doesn't spread somehow

Yeah, has a small bullseye look to it. Not sure what happened with it, don't see any obvious damage though.

Oh well, heading out shortly to check it out. Hope it worked, I'll pull the passenger side out and tweak it tomorrow night if so. Hopefully I don't break something else in the process lol

Still not perfect, but 100 times better. Still needs to be rotated a bit but might leave well enough alone. Going to do the passenger side tomorrow night and hope for the same result, it still has enough angle with it to be bothersome on a two lane roadway. Then just need to figure out how to adjust left to right to get the best illumination.

    Driver side then and now

    Passenger side still the same

    20150630_204941.jpg

    Both on

    20150630_205001.jpg

Still trying to figure out how to get the fog and headlight halo's to focus.

Anyone know where to get replacement lenses? Have a feeling you probably have to buy a complete assembly, don't really want to butcher my OEM's, holding on to them for either emergemcy back up or putting back in for trade up.

That spot I noticed last night is definitely spreading with the heat, almost seems as if the layers between the plastic are separating. Noticed at lunch it is about double in size.

Once I was reimbursed from the seller I told him I'd take full responsibility from here on out and will honor that. Don't think it was anything I did, doubt thwir is any warranty claim with a modded assembly.

Figured I would check here before getting home amd finding the time to research it a bit more.

Drivers side looks 100x better! Just give the passenger side a bullseye so it will look like it's meant to be there
But what I would do is wait to make sure everything stays good with it for a while then take your lense from the oem light and slap it on there. I doubt you're going to just find a lense for it
