Did you get it flashed? How does it run, and what's the break in process?

I got it flashed. It runs great! Im super happy that I did it!

It really makes the 6spd fun!

Break in process shouldn't be an issue really. But my truck has 3200 miles on it so I will be fairly easy on it for awhile!

Good to hear, I'll end up putting those Spring Seats on the front end of my Baja - one day. . . Yeah that would drive me nuts about the steering wheel as well - it's hard to find a good shop. Thanks for letting me know.

I would go with the wheelers 5 leaf HD set, All Pro U Bolt flip kit & Timbren bump stops like Black Taco did. And of course add the ToyTec Baja Front Spring Seats like BTHawk.

That would be a bad a$$ set up! That's my goal for maybe next summer depending. . .

I added 3/4 poly isolators to my pro last night.

Its still not as tall as the Baja setup with them but it rides just like my Baja did before the isolators. The added preload makes it perfect for me.

I will probably get the lower seats from toytec later this year.

Also deleted my swaybar. About time!

Here she sits today with the 3/4 wheelers deal in the front coils. Pretty positive they are a daystar part.

Also currently has the wheelers 3 leaf progressive in the back. Plan to take it out tomorrow and install a better, stronger spring with more lift.

Hate that saggy ass look! 20150701_110932.jpg

You may have mentioned it before, but did you leave the overload in with the Wheelers? I did and haven't noticed any sag on mine (yet).

I did not. The overload may set it level now but with any load it would sag.

I didn't want cut the bracket off my overload until knew the 3 leaf would work the way im needing. I am glad now that I did not because although its a good product, its not quite what im looking for.

hopefully tomorrow I will get my new leaves added.

Honestly I don't know. I would lean towards ordering a custom set from Alcan. That or buying Dakar's.

But then I have had good luck with a cheap set of add a leaf springs on 3 Tacomas so far.. have a set in my garage plan to swap them tomorrow and ditch the 3 leaf progressive.

I always tell myself im going to buy a full pack, but fall back on my other option. I have tried a few different add a leaf brands etc with bad results. I tried the 3 leaf this time because it was new to me.. it didn't work out for me so once again I am going the route I know works for my needs.

The only reason I have not bought dakars or ordered some custom springs is that I haven't tried them yet. And for the money I would be pissed if the results were less than expected.

I have had experience with Pro comp leaves, All pro leaves, ruff country, NWOR, thrown together mixes of unknown leaves, trail gears leaves... and a second hand set of Alcans. Also have used a local to the midwest spring shop for recurved cheby junk, some skyjacker 7 inch springs..

Granted these were all in old yota's and my tacoma trucks I have stuck to add a leafs. I had a few brands, all moderately poor really and by chance found some knock off cheap brand on EGAY that gave me the results I wanted.. now I have stuck with them and so far they have been great.

Really most springs are the same overall.. give up something to get something else.. you can have hieght, flex, load carrying ability, super long travel.. but its very hard to recommend or find something that works for everyone. . We all have different needs and wants and expectations.

I like it to be a little stiffer than stock. Flex should be decent, but I need to occasionally haul a lot of wieght. I like a little rake. Something like 500-800 lbs in the bed to sit level. I don't want a superduty rake because it looks stupid. If I put 1000lbs in the bed I don't want the truck to be a jiggling mess driving down the road. And pulling a trailer I generally shoot for 6-800 lbs on the tongue because with my setup and trailer it pulls like a dream. Truck level and trailer level.

The problem with the 3 leaf for me is that its not tall enough. It starts sagging past level (before lifting the front) at a few hundred pounds. It rides good, but for as stiff as it is I could have more payload. They flex good, but the wheelhop hit be like a sack of beans from a shotgun once I supercharged my ride. And they cost twice as much as my go to option.

They don't squeak like most.. thats a plus but It doesn't bother me. I am a custom to leaves squeaking and creaking

I will post pics before and after. Now watch, I have had 3 good sets this set is going to blow. Lol

Sounds like you might be a candidate for Ride Rites and Daystar cradles. I've found them to be very accommodating to a very wide range of weights in the bed / towing and off-roading.

I have considered it quite a few times. The only experience I have with airbags wasn't any good. That was in a 4runner and I blew one..

But the cradles really make the whole deal more appealing

Thanks. I haven't started on the fronts yet. Can you give me the link for the Toytec Spring seats. Might as well research those also.

I couldn't find the link for toytec today. But they are $150 on www.bilsteinlifts.com

Also the wheelers 3/4 poly isolators do the same thing and are cheaper. Just not as cool.

Ok, thanks fellas. I have seen them before, but I think that's going to be get me back to level or nose high with the new rear suspension. I haven't removed the Readylift 2.25" spacers yet, and I'm about level now.

Thanks Krog! So let the novice ask a question. What difference does it make if the lift is on the springs seat (bottom) or spacer kit (top). Wouldn't it still limit the travel?

depending on the size it could be huge.

with a linear spring, like in the Baja, and PRO then as long as its the same size, and IN the spring space, top or bottom doesn't matter. either way your adding some preload to the spring itself. The 3/4 of and inch or less of the Bottom seat replacement, or the 3/4 of the top isolator replacement do the same thing. And I don't believe you will lose any travel with either one. If you make it all the way to the bump stops you may wear your springs out faster than without but I don't think there is enough travel before Bump to bind the springs with either spacer.

Now, all three of those are part of the strut assembly. A top plate spacer (not what the 3/4 isolator is) goes on top of the strut assembly, and can cause your shock to bottom out before you hit your bumpstop. They add preload as well in a different fashion, and if you already have a nice suspension like the Baja don't even consider it.

So our 14 inch long coils, with a linear rate 650lbs/inch on the Baja if i remember right. Roughly every inch it squishes down adds 650 pounds to the force it takes to squish it. So adding the 3/4 of an inch to the top or the bottom puts more pressure in the mix, giving you a little more ride height and a little stiffer (not much) ride.

That part is not exact because the spring compresses a little and the spacer adds a small amount of hieght between top and bottom of the assembly.. shit i am trying to explain the picture in my head here. it doesn't translate well :)
