Hey guys, i installed a 3" lift (Bilstein Toytec) with new UCA's about a year and half ago and I already have rust!?! Has anybody else experienced this? what is the best method to clean and protect, what would be the suggested rust cleaner and inhibitor?

    Thanks.

That's weird! I'd hit it with lithium (spray) for now until you can get under and clean it off. The lithium is a more durable coating for now....steel brush, give it a coat and regularly maintain. However, I have toytec and it has not rusted (going on 5 years). Can you explain exactly where it is rusting? The cause could also be the amount of salt used in your area during winter. It's pretty heavy here in VA

Thanks for the reply. I've heard, as crazy as it sounds, that aluminum foil and Coca-Cola works for rust removal haha, I'm going to try that this weekend. The rust it's on my springs, struts, top bolt of the UCA, you name it. I live in northeast Ohio so yeah, winter's are crazy with a ton of salt but I never imagined this much rust after only one or two winters. I'll try to take a picture in a bit.

Look into fluid film. I'll be doing the same before this upcoming winter.
