    So it looks like the Leafs received two higher end prospects and a draft pick for Kessel. I hope that doesn't mean, given that Pittsburgh has 3.5 million in cap space, the Leafs are either eating 4 million this year :eek:.

    EDIT: Nevermind, I rechecked General Fanager and it looks like the 3.5 million in cap space includes ALL of Kessels deal, so maybe the Leafs didn't have to keep any salary. Considering we received nothing concrete in return I hope that is the case.

    Literally Kessel is going to look amazing with Crosby or Malkin. The three could win all the awards next year...

    Final deal:

    Kessel, Tyler Biggs, Tim Erixon and 2nd in 2016 for Kapanen, Harrington, Spaling, 1st and 3rd picks in 2016. TOR retains $1.25M/year.

    That's a decent deal for a rebuild. TO made out far better on Kessel than I thought they would. What will hurt is paying Kessel 1.25 mil/year if he wins a scoring title with those true superstar centers.
